Verse Piece just released a big update after a month-long wait. This update introduces two new weapons, a new trait rarity, a controversial prestige system, new relics, and challenging bosses. What’s New in the Update?

Two New Weapons:

• Void Edge (similar to Sid V3)
• Kamish Wrath Daggers

New Trait Rarity: Celestial, featuring two new traits—Shadow Sovereign and Kamish Wrath.

Prestige System: A new mechanic designed to add depth, but it’s received a lot of criticism for being frustrating and poorly implemented.

New Relics:

• Ashen Ring: Increases sword damage by 70% and adds burn damage to basic attacks (M1).
• John Smith Mask: Dropped by Void Edge dungeon boss; its effects are still under review.

New NPC: Sells better trait rolls for 1,000 gems per roll, increasing chances of getting rare traits.

How to Get the New Weapons and Traits

Void Edge is found on Runes Island and requires the Shadowborn Sovereign celestial trait plus items from the new dungeon. The dungeon boss is extremely tough, with around 500 million health, making it nearly impossible to beat solo.

Kamish Wrath Daggers come from the Ant King boss on Endless Castle Island. To spawn this boss, you must buy a raid ticket from the blacksmith island’s crafting NPC, then summon the boss on Verse Island. Like the Void Edge boss, the Ant King is tanky, making solo grinding a real challenge.

Gameplay and Effectiveness

• Void Edge: The weapon’s special ability (F move) is supposed to heal, but it doesn’t seem to work properly, making it less useful than similar weapons like Sid or Atomic. Overall, this weapon is considered underwhelming.
• Kamish Wrath Daggers: These have decent damage and an interesting concept with different summons per move. However, the F move is very similar to existing daggers, lacking uniqueness. The dual swords could have been better differentiated. Overall, not recommended.

Relics Overview

• Ashen Ring: A solid upgrade for sword users, increasing damage and adding burn effects, which can be helpful in extended fights.
• John Smith Mask: Still being tested, but it’s a rare drop from the Void Edge dungeon boss.
