All Things Coming to Anime Vanguards Update 6!

1. Brand-New Units

Update 6 introduces nine new units that can be obtained through various in-game sources:

• Gem Banner
• Heaven or Hell Story Stages
• Legend Stage Quests
• Rift Events
• Battle Pass Rewards

These new characters add fresh strategic options to your team and mix up the current meta.

2. PvP Launch and Modes

A major highlight is the launch of PvP, featuring three distinct modes:

• Assault Mode Two players send tailored enemies to each other, with 15 mutators to customize difficulty and economy. This mode is fast-paced and strategic.
• Defense Mode Players battle without sending enemies to each other, focusing purely on outlasting the opponent.
• Ranked Mode Based on Assault mode but with a matchmaking rating system and unit bans. Players can ban up to six units from the opponent’s roster, adding a layer of tactical depth. Rank tiers range from Bronze to Vanguard, with exclusive end-of-season rewards for high ranks.

Every 5 waves, modifiers affect enemy behavior with varying rarity and impact. PvP also features reworked maps like Golden Castle, Planet Namak, and Shibuya Station.

3. PvP Shop and Rewards

PvP matches earn you PvP Coins, which you can spend in the PvP shop for items including mounts, essence stones, and more. Shop stock refreshes weekly to keep rewards fresh. Leaderboards also grant limited skins themed around Heaven and Hell, along with special titles for the top 10 players.

4. New Story & Legend Stages

• Heaven’s Edge: A new story stage featuring 6 chaotic acts on Normal and Nightmare difficulties. This stage introduces armored enemies with damage reduction stacks that reset after 10 seconds without damage.
• Shining Castle Legend Stage: Navigate 4 intense acts ending with a challenging EX encounter for rare items and quest drops, including familiar Ro Jer.

Both stages come with new music from Guilty Gear and a chance to find rare map rewards after victories.

5. Rift Updates & New Units

• Astolfo Rift: The Rift system now cycles weekly, allowing players to obtain Rift units like Astolfo and previous favorites such as Yehowach.
• Rift Shop: Restocked with new items including a temporal rift item that instantly opens a Rift and a new familiar, Foo.

This cycling ensures players won’t miss out on Rift-exclusive rewards.

6. Battle Pass – Light & Shadow

The new Battle Pass replaces previous units with fresh options like Al and Dark Mage. It includes updated rewards and lets you progress through tiers to unlock skins, materials, and more.
