How to Unlock Pets in Build an Island
To start raising pets, you need to unlock the farm area. Look for the merchant near your island’s spawn point. Right next to him is a buildable farm zone that costs 100 wood and 5 planks to complete. Once it’s built, you’ll receive your first Starter Egg for free. This egg can hatch into one of three animals:
- Dachshund
- Cat
- Chicken
From there, you can also harvest wheat, which becomes important for feeding animals. As you expand northward on your island, you’ll unlock a Barn, where your animals are housed. Feed them hay bales to earn gold—each animal provides a different gold reward depending on its type and rarity (Normal, Gold, or Rainbow).
How to Get Eggs
After unlocking the barn, expand to the left side to unlock additional egg types. Here’s a breakdown of the different eggs and how to get them:
- Starter Egg – Costs 500 gold, basic pets with high drop rates.
- Farm Egg – Costs 25,000 gold, includes more valuable farm animals.
- Elite Egg – Costs 250,000 gold, contains rarer animals like the Eagle.
- Exotic Egg – Costs 99 Robux, offers exotic animals with lower hatch rates.
Each egg type comes with its own set of animals and hatching probabilities. More expansion unlocks more egg types and more barns. Every barn can hold up to 5 animals, and more animals mean more hay consumed—resulting in more gold income.
To keep things efficient, assign a crafting worker to automatically produce hay bales. Each hay bale costs 4 wheat, so maintaining a steady wheat supply is important.
All Animals and Drop Rates
