If you’re diving into Anime Rails on Roblox for the first time, you’re in for a chaotic but exciting ride. This game blends fast-paced combat, anime-inspired skills, and a unique dragon-train mechanic reminiscent of Dead Rails, but with far more style and flair. Here’s a beginner-friendly guide to help you understand the core mechanics, from feeding your dragon to unlocking anime-style powers. Also check out Anime Rails Codes for more redeemable rewards.

1. Get Your First Weapon

When you start the game, you’ll only have a bit of money—just enough to get yourself a basic weapon. Head to the Weapons Shop, which is clearly marked in town. Early on, your best bet is the Normal Katana, a simple weapon to get you started with combat.

Tip: If you’re broke, don’t worry—every player starts like that. Just grab what you can and move on.

2. Feed the Dragon

Your transport across the game world is a giant dragon, which won’t move unless it’s fed. To feed it:

  • Head to the Shop and buy Dragon Food (you’ll see it labeled).
  • Approach the dragon and use the food to get it moving.

You’ll need to do this regularly, especially when traveling between villages.

3. Unlock Your First Skill

Skills in Anime Rails are unlocked by finding and opening Skill Chests, which spawn randomly inside buildings. Look for blue chests.

  • To roll or dodge, press Q.
  • Open the chest to receive a random anime-style move (like Leaf Hurricane or Lightning Eagle).
  • Some skills can be buggy or glitched, so don’t hesitate to search for more.

Note: You can equip multiple skills as you collect them.

4. Fight Alongside the Dragon

Once the dragon is moving, the real adventure begins. You’ll encounter enemies, including anime bosses like Gojo and even dangerous creatures like the Nine-Tailed Fox.

  • Combat can get intense, especially if enemies swarm you.
  • Use your skills strategically and help revive fallen teammates—just make sure you have a bandage equipped first.
  • Bosses may drop loot or skills upon defeat, so it’s worth battling even if it gets hectic.

5. Reviving & Items

When a teammate goes down, you can revive them only if you’re carrying a bandage. Without it, they’re stuck until they respawn or someone else revives them.

  • Keep an eye out for dropped items or gear from fallen enemies.
  • Some skills like Slash Barrage and Setting Sun are highly effective during fights.

6. Don’t Rush into the Infinity Castle

You’ll come across portals or locations like the Infinity Castle, a nod to Demon Slayer. These areas are extremely difficult and not suited for beginners.

  • Stick to village-to-village progression until you’re well-equipped.
  • Once stronger, return to these places with a team.

7. Loot Everything Before Moving On

Before hopping on the dragon and moving to the next village, search every building for chests or items. You might miss rare skills or important supplies if you rush.

8. Managing Items and Selling

One unclear mechanic for new players is selling or managing your inventory.

  • Currently, there’s no official way to sell items, which means managing your limited space wisely.
  • Equip only what’s useful and discard what you don’t need (if possible).

Anime Rails is a wild and unpredictable game that rewards exploration, teamwork, and a bit of chaos. From battling anime-inspired bosses to collecting flashy skills, there’s a lot packed into this Roblox experience. Focus on feeding your dragon, upgrading your gear, and unlocking new skills as you move through villages. And most importantly—don’t try to fight the Nine-Tails on your first day. Keep an eye out for more guides as the game updates. There’s still plenty to uncover in Anime Rails.
