Half Kakuja Guide – How to Start the Process

Before you can even think about unlocking Full Kakuja, you’ll need to obtain the Half-Kakuja first. This is the foundation for any further Kakuja evolution and unlocks your basic Kakuja abilities.

Requirements to Unlock Half-Kakuja:

• Reach SSS Rank as a Ghoul.
• Collect 10,000,000 RC Cells.
• Complete one of the five emotion paths from Z during PermaDeath.

Once you meet these three requirements, you’ll be eligible to speak with Z, who sits on top of some crates during PermaDeath. He will assign you one of five emotion-based paths to complete:

Emotion Paths Breakdown:

• Denial: Eat 15 people in your party. They don’t need to be unique or in PermaDeath.
• Anger: Eat a Ghoul with 5M+ RC Cells during PermaDeath, then respawn outside PermaDeath.
• Bargaining: Kill 20 raid bosses and then respawn.
• Depression: Stack 20–25 million RC Cells, then respawn.
• Acceptance: Win 30 Ranked Matches, then respawn.

Once your assigned path is completed and you’ve gathered the 10 million RC Cells, talk to Z again to fight a Kagune-specific boss. If you run out of time, it counts as a death, and you’ll be wiped — so be fast.

Half-Kakuja Starting Moves

Upon unlocking your Half-Kakuja, you’ll immediately gain access to:

• Z Move – Your first Kakuja special ability.
• M1 Combo – Basic attacks with enhanced animations and effects.
• Critical Attack (R) – A heavy-hitting move with special properties.
• Aerial Passive – If your Kagune had a passive aerial effect, it transfers over.

These are always available after your first transformation.

Unlocking Additional Moves

Your Kakuja abilities expand as you use them more and increase your RC count:

X Move Unlock:

• Use Kakuja 15–20 times.
• Reach at least 15 million RC Cells.
• Unlocks a secondary ability unique to your Kakuja.

C Move Unlock:

• Use Kakuja another 20–30 times after unlocking X.
• Reach at least 20 million RC Cells.
• Grants access to the final major ability.

Y Move:

• Only available for Yamori Kakuja, unlocked with the C move.

M1 Combo

• Transforms basic attacks into ragdoll-inducing slashes.
• Hitting a downed opponent allows for instant grip.

Critical (R)

• Raise both hands and slam them into the ground, causing AoE damage in a close radius.

Z Move – Eto Roar

• Charge and release a powerful multi-hit roar that deals damage 7 times.
• High posture damage.
• Cooldown: 20 seconds.

X Move – Shard Barrage
