Progressing in Anime Shadow 2 can seem overwhelming at first, especially if you’re going the free-to-play route. But with the right strategy, you can stack up massive damage (over 200K DPS) even as a beginner. This guide covers the full progression from a new player all the way to breaking the 200K DPS mark, including game passes, relics, invasion gear, shadow team building, and farming tactics. Also check out Anime Shadow 2 Codes & Best Gamepass Tier List.

1. Starting Point – Early Game Progression

After reaching the Dragon Ball map, make sure your team is solid. Use your early gems to summon units and aim for shiny versions when possible. Two shiny Iggas are a good start. If you’re still using starter units like Char, swap them out quickly. AFK farming early bosses like Jiren is effective for coins and levels.

Pro Tip: Update 0.7 added new codes and mystery boxes. Use them right away—these can give potions, shards, and a shot at Mihawk. Even if you don’t get Mihawk, shards and potions will still help in progression.

2. Boost Your Power – Game Passes and Equips

Once you gather enough gems, buy the Extra Shadows equip pass. This lets you run 6 units instead of the default. Equip all your strongest shadows, including your shiny Iggas, and focus on leveling them through AFK boss farming.

As you progress through Time Trials and maps, you’ll unlock achievements that increase your damage output. Even a 5% boost from an early Time Trial milestone helps a lot.

3. Trading, Ascending & Talents

Use trade shards to reroll traits on your units. A lucky pull like Clover III or Fortune III can be game-changing. Ascend your units as soon as possible, especially once they hit a leveling wall. This resets the level but increases base stats, making them stronger long term.

Talents also become essential around this point. Spend your talent points to focus on Head Damage, and reroll until you get A or S tiers. These small buffs can stack up to massive DPS gains.

4. Accessories & Invasion Mode Farming

To keep scaling, move into Invasion Mode. Bosses here have a decent chance to drop accessories, like the Broly set, which can boost coins or damage. Spend time doing 2-3 Invasion runs back-to-back to farm a full set.

Once you get the full accessory set, reroll their stats using shards. Aim for B or higher stats across the board, and go for A or S if you’re lucky. Accessories with better stats multiply your overall power output dramatically.

5. Infinity Castle and Relics

By now, your DPS should be well over 100K. Start focusing on Infinity Castle, especially the early bosses like Slayer Girl, who drop useful relics and books that increase your yen income. Set yourself up to AFK here for an hour at a time and collect Slayer Boxes.

Use the yen to unlock the next map and keep pushing forward. Each new map gives access to better units and more powerful accessories or relics.

6. New Features – AFK Rewards & Destruction System

Anime Shadow 2 now has an AFK Rewards system. Log in regularly to claim potions, shards, and boxes. There’s also a Destruction System that allows you to reroll a unit’s passive for more bonus damage. If you get lucky, a Destruction II or III buff can give up to 15% more power to a unit.

If you’re starting out in Anime Shadow 2, don’t be discouraged by whales or pay-to-win setups. With smart rerolls, efficient farming, and good use of free game systems like AFK rewards, Destruction, and Time Trials, hitting over 200K DPS as a F2P is entirely possible. Stick to the grind, play smart, and you’ll keep climbing the ranks. Stay tuned for the next guide as we go beyond 300K DPS and into late-game strategies.
