Jojo Roguery features more than just flashy Stands and fights. The game includes a range of core mechanics that affect your gameplay in both subtle and powerful ways. If you’re trying to understand everything from powerful specials to collectible cosmetics and unique vending machine perks, this guide breaks it all down in a simple and clear way. Also check out our Jojo Roguery Titles Guide, & Jojo Roguery Stands Guide.

1. Specials – M2 Abilities for All Stands

Specials are strong universal moves every Stand can use, regardless of their unique skillset. They’re tied to the M2 button (right mouse click) and can only be activated once their energy bar is full. You’ll find this bar in the lower middle part of the screen, just to the left of your first move slot.

You can fill the bar by attacking enemies using normal M1s or Stand moves. Once it’s full, unleash a Special to change the tide of battle. These are the current Specials in the game:

  • Tiger Drop – A fast, counter-style move inspired by Yakuza‘s Komaki Tiger Drop.
  • Finger Cero – A beam attack inspired by Ulquiorra Cifer from Bleach.
  • Heave Ho – A fan-suggested move that provides a unique twist to combat, added thanks to a community member named @Demonyang.

2. Darby – The Dealer Mechanic

Accessed through your in-game phone under the “Dealer” app, Darby is your gateway to cosmetic rolls. You spend 125 Tokens (or just 75 with a gamepass) to perform a shuffle, revealing three tarot cards. Pick one and receive the item behind it. This is all luck-based and cosmetic-only.

Token Info:

  • Earned by defeating players
  • Can also be bought with Robux
  • You receive Tokens if you roll a duplicate cosmetic

Rarity Levels:

  • Ordinary – 60%
  • Weird – 30%
  • Strange – 9%
  • Unusual – 0.9%
  • Bizarre – 0.1%

3. Vending Machines – Perk-A-Cola Buffs

Scattered around the map, vending machines offer temporary power-ups. Here’s what each one does:

  • Rat Brew – Spins your screen and adds a transparent rat LeBron image. Just a visual gag.
  • Health Elixir – Instantly heals about half your HP.
  • Damage Vial – Boosts your damage slightly; you’ll see a red outline on your character.
  • Guardian Tonic – Adds a blue outline and gives you damage resistance.

Use these before or during fights for an edge or quick recovery.

4. Throwables – Use the Environment as Weapons

Jojo Roguery adds some fun chaos to battles with throwable objects. As of now, there are five main throwables:

  • Trash Can
  • Recycling Bin
  • Bench – Can also be sat on
  • Vending Machine
  • Dumpster – Still throwable even with a player inside!

These can be found around the map and thrown at enemies to cause disruption or deal damage. Mastering their locations and timing can give you a quick advantage in close fights.

Jojo Roguery isn’t just about having the flashiest Stand—it’s about understanding all the mechanics that power the game. Specials, cosmetics, perks, and environmental tools all play a role in shaping your style. Whether you’re a new player or grinding toward becoming a true Gangstar, mastering these systems will make your experience way more dynamic. Keep exploring, and don’t forget to check your phone for new opportunities.
