4 Step to Get & Tame Shark Rune Slayer Guide
Step 1: Go to the Beach Area Near Storm Peak Mountain
Start by heading toward the beach located right in front of Storm Peak Mountain. There’s a small village nearby where you’ll find the key NPC to start your sea mount journey. You can also set your spawn here to make traveling easier.
Step 2: Talk to the Sea Master NPC

Look for an NPC holding a barracuda—this is the Sea Master. He’s the one who’ll give you the quests needed to unlock your sea saddle, which is required before you can ride any sea creature.
Step 3: Complete the Sea Saddle Quests
- Quest 1: Give the Sea Master 3 Raw Mutated Meat. You can get this meat by defeating green frogs (or Murlocs) found along the beach.
- Quest 2: After turning in the meat, you’ll be tasked with taming a sea mount.
Once you finish these two tasks, the Sea Master will reward you with a Sea Saddle.
Step 4: Tame a Shark
With your Sea Saddle in hand, it’s time to head into the ocean. You’ll be looking for sharks—these can appear in two forms: regular sharks and hammerhead sharks. As of now, only regular sharks are confirmed to be tamable. To tame a shark:
- Swim into the deeper ocean near the beach area.
- Look around until a shark spawns.
- Attack it once to trigger the taming phase.
- Feed it Raw Mutated Meat.
- Once it accepts the meat, and if you have the Sea Saddle equipped, you’ll be able to ride it.
Best Spot to Farm Raw Mutated Meat
If you’re struggling to find enough Murlocs on the beach, swim across the ocean to a hidden island nearby. This location spawns a large number of frogs (Murlocs), making it the best place to farm the meat you need. Expect to see 3–4 Murlocs spawn at a time, ensuring a steady supply of materials.
While exploring the waters, you might come across other creatures like crabs or lobsters, and even hammerhead sharks. Currently, these additional sea monsters don’t seem tamable, but they add to the immersive oceanic world.
The shark sea mount is not only a cool addition to your adventure but also makes ocean travel faster and more exciting. If you’re diving into the new Tundra update, make this your top priority. Stay tuned for more Rune Slayer update guides and tips!
