1. New Limited Character: Taichou

The highlight of Update 23 is the introduction of Taichou, a new VBL Original setter designed to compete with TSK.

• Role: Setter
• Stacking Effect: Multiple fast jumpsets in a row stack for massive spike power increases.
• Playstyle: Taichou features fast sets that slow down gradually, similar to TSK but with less slowdown.
• Best Pairing: Works exceptionally well alongside TSO or Sanu.
• Availability: Limited-time style available for just 2 weeks.

Special Ability: Taichou’s sets boost spike power in different ways:

• Ground sets: Boost spike power on hit.
• Neutral/Low power jumpsets: Provide even more spike power.
• Sideways/Faster jumpsets: Give the largest spike power boost.

2. New 7th Style Slot Added

Due to popular demand, the update includes a new 7th style slot, giving players more customization options for their characters.

3. Matchmaking Improvements

Waiting times for matches have been reduced significantly with this update. The matchmaking system is optimized to get you into games faster, so expect smoother and quicker queue experiences.

4. Pity System Enhancements

Changing your selected style during the secret pity event no longer resets your progress if you already have rolls or 50/50 chances in progress. This means you can switch styles more freely without losing your pity benefits.

5. 2x Secret Pity Weekend Event

From June 14, 2025, 11:30 AM ET to June 16, 2025, 11:30 AM ET, enjoy a limited-time 2x luck event for secret pity:

• Secret Pity Halved: From 200 rolls to 100 rolls.
• Secret Style/Ability Chances Doubled: From 0.5% to 1%.
