Here’s a full breakdown of all the leaked pets from the summer update, including their looks, passives, and potential value. Also check out our Grow a Garden Animal tier List for beginner guide.

Paradise and Summer Eggs – What to Expect

Two main types of eggs have been confirmed:

  • Summer Egg
  • Paradise Egg

Both of these will contain a mix of tropical-themed animals, each with unique passive abilities to assist you in farming, crafting, or progressing in the game.

List of All Leaked Pets in the Summer Update

Here are the pets that have been leaked so far, including their passives and early impressions:

1. Mimic Octopus

  • Passive: (Not fully revealed yet)

2. Peacock

  • Passive: Occasionally fans its feathers to reduce the cooldowns of all nearby pets’ abilities.

3. Toucan

  • Passive: “Tropical Lover” – Increases variant chances (rainbow/golden) and growth size for all nearby tropical plants.

4. Orangutan

  • Passive: “Helping Hands” – When crafting, each material has a chance not to be consumed.

5. Seal

  • Passive: “Steal the Deal” – Selling pets gives a small chance to get the pet back as an egg.

6. Starfish

  • Passive: Boosts pet XP per second.

7. Georgie the Sea Turtle

  • Passive: Occasionally shares wisdom with a random active pet, granting them extra XP.

8. Crab

9. Cappybara

  • Passive: Prevents hunger drop in nearby pets and grants passive XP.

10. Ostrich

  • Passive: Unknown.

11. Scarlet Macaw (Parrot)

12. Flamingo

  • Passive: Unconfirmed.

13. Seagull

  • Passive: Unknown.

Early Verdict – Are These Pets Worth It?

Most of the leaked passives so far are relatively safe and support-focused. A few, like the Orangutan and Toucan, show potential due to their passive effects that can save materials or improve plant variants.

On the flip side, pets like Seal or Starfish don’t seem very impactful unless balanced differently in the final patch. The devs may have intentionally held back the most powerful or rare pets to keep some surprises for the actual release. Expect mythical-tier pets or secret ones with unique mechanics to show up on update day.

When Is the Summer Update Dropping?

Based on the leaks, the Summer Update for Grow a Garden is expected to go live on Saturday, possibly within a few hours of the leaks going public. Make sure your in-game currency and eggs are ready, especially if you’re planning to go all-in on the Paradise Egg.

This update may not break the game, but it definitely adds flavor to your Grow a Garden journey. While many of the current pets lean toward XP bonuses or crafting boosts, future reveals may introduce meta-defining pets with exclusive passives. If you’re planning to hatch every egg or min-max your garden strategy, this is the perfect time to start grinding materials and prepping your team.
