If you’re diving into Jump Stars, knowing which characters are truly dominant can make all the difference. Whether you’re a newcomer looking to find your main or a beta tester curious how everyone stacks up, this tier list ranks every character based on real gameplay experience, performance in PvP, utility, and star synergy. Each character’s placement considers how well they perform with or without Ultra Charge, how easy they are to use, and what type of playstyle they support (support, brawler, burst, range, etc.).Let’s jump into the full ranking breakdown.

Jump Stars Tier List

S Tier – Overpowered Characters

These characters are meta-defining. Whether due to damage, utility, or mobility, they shine in almost every match-up.

Mob Psycho

  • Strengths: Massive AoE combo, especially in team modes like Chrono Control.
  • Mechanics: Requires ult for full skill set. Press F then E for cluster detonation.
  • With Ultra: AoE range increases drastically. Easily wipes teams.
  • Tier Reasoning: Broken combo potential, huge damage, crowd control.

Sasuke

  • Best Loadout: Rinnegan + Amaterasu.
  • Mechanics: Burn damage fills the ult meter. Excellent sustained DPS.
  • Strengths: Fast attacks, DoT damage, cool animations.
  • Tier Reasoning: High damage, consistent pressure, hard to escape.

Ichigo

  • Best Boost: Overwhelming Speed + Flash Step.
  • Strengths: Dash-heavy, fast reloads, high burst.
  • Tier Reasoning: Even after a slight nerf, still top-tier due to speed and kill potential.

Zoro

  • Best Loadout: Pound Phoenix + Line Song.
  • Mechanics: Unique “stage” system that powers up your strikes.
  • Strengths: High mobility, deadly combo chains, huge burst.
  • Tier Reasoning: Versatile, powerful, and excellent for pressure and pick-offs.

Gojo

  • Best Utility: Infinity + Ultra Charged Domain Expansion.
  • Strengths: High damage M1s, crowd control, invisibility.
  • Tier Reasoning: A bit slower, but when played smart, can dominate with one ult.

Dracula

  • Strengths: Amazing for ranged play. Excellent defensive escapes.
  • Mechanics: Pass through walls and execute escape-damage combos.
  • Tier Reasoning: Superior anti-melee toolset, hard to punish, great in team fights.

Orihime

  • Role: Support.
  • Best Ability: Heal Pulse + Shield.
  • Tier Reasoning: Best healer in the game. Game-changing in team modes. She makes any team stronger.

A Tier – Strong Picks, High Value

Excellent characters that may have slight weaknesses but can still dominate in skilled hands.

Guts

  • Strengths: Huge AoE, wide M1s, fast ult.
  • With Ultra Charge: Becomes S-tier.
  • Without Ultra: Easy to avoid, especially if not flanking.

Vegeta

  • Best Loadout: Explosive Wave + Elite Warrior.
  • Strengths: Great burst combo, better than Naruto overall.
  • Tier Reasoning: Easy to use and efficient in every matchup.

Naruto

  • Best Loadout: Hidden Leaf + Rasenshuriken.
  • Strengths: Great beginner pick. Effective hit-and-run tactics.
  • Tier Reasoning: Consistent, safe, but a bit outshined by stronger ranged options.

Jotaro

  • Best Loadout: Time Skip.
  • Strengths: TP combos, huge damage output, powerful finishers.
  • Tier Reasoning: Very strong brawler with solid mobility. Only slightly edged out by Dracula.

B Tier – Good, But Situational

Viable characters that can work well, but need specific conditions or good timing to shine.

Itadori

  • Strengths: Can destroy terrain, decent combos.
  • Weaknesses: Ult requires timed input; easily interrupted.
  • Tier Reasoning: Good damage, but too technical and risky in chaotic matches.

Tanjiro

  • Best Ability: Water Wheel + Aerial Mark.
  • Strengths: Solid for ambushes.
  • Weaknesses: Low speed, struggles vs ranged.
  • Tier Reasoning: Fun for sneak plays, but underwhelming in straight fights.

Luffy

  • Strengths: Wide range attacks.
  • Weaknesses: Very slow, limited effectiveness.
  • Tier Reasoning: Weakest of the starter characters. Lacks punch compared to others.

C Tier – Limited Use

Only worth using in niche situations or for novelty.

  • As of the latest beta, no characters are completely unusable, but Luffy is notably weaker in comparison, making him the sole placeholder in C-tier due to his sluggish skills and limited damage output.

Jump Stars offers a deep and varied roster, and while some characters clearly outshine others, personal playstyle still matters. If you enjoy fast-paced dashes, burst builds, or support roles, there’s someone for every type of player. This list will likely shift as the devs tweak balance, but for now, these rankings are based on real matchups, hands-on testing, and how each character handles both 1v1 and team battles. Stick to high-tier picks for comp play, but don’t be afraid to experiment—meta is only half the fun.
