The Summer Update in Grow A Garden introduces a wave of exciting changes, including five new mutations that can impact the value and appearance of your crops. While Sundried, Twisted, and Windstruck are fairly easy to obtain, the Verdant and Paradisal mutations are trickier—and that’s exactly what we’ll be covering in this guide. How to Get the Verdant Mutation in Grow A Garden

To unlock the Verdant Mutation, you’ll need one specific Legendary pet: the Scarlet Macaw. This pet can only be obtained by hatching a Paradise Egg, which is sold at the Egg Shop. Here are the key details:

  • Paradise Egg Availability: Has a 7% chance to appear in the shop.
  • Cost: 50,000,000 Sheckles or 139 Robux.
  • Scarlet Macaw Hatch Rate: 8% chance from the Paradise Egg.

Once you have the Scarlet Macaw, assign it to your farm. The pet activates the Verdant mutation every 11 minutes and 51 seconds, with a 15.95% chance to mutate any nearby plant.

What Does Verdant Mutation Do?

When a crop gets the Verdant mutation, its fruit turns fully green and its selling price multiplies up to 4x the original value. While this may sound useful, it’s relatively low compared to the Zombiefied Mutation (from the Zombie Chicken pet), which boosts prices by 25x. So unless you’re aiming for the Paradisal combo, Verdant is mostly a stepping stone mutation.

How to Get the Paradisal Mutation in Grow A Garden

The Paradisal Mutation is a combo mutation—similar to Frozen—that combines two existing effects on a single plant. To trigger it, you must have both the Sundried and Verdant mutations on the same fruit. Once this condition is met, the game will automatically convert both into the Paradisal mutation.

Step-by-Step to Get Paradisal Mutation:

  • Apply Verdant Mutation
  • Trigger the Sundried Mutation: Wait for a Heatwave Event (sunrays appear on the server). Use Tanning Mirrors to reflect the sunlight onto your crops, increasing the odds of mutation.
  • Let Both Mutations Stack: Once both Sundried and Verdant are applied to the same crop, the Paradisal mutation will take over.

What Does Paradisal Mutation Do?

Fruits with this mutation glow brightly and emit sunray-like particles. They also sell for 18x the normal price, placing them in the mid-tier of crop profitability. It’s a solid option if you want a reliable boost but not the best for pure profit-seekers.

Both the Verdant and Paradisal mutations are tied to special mechanics—one through pets and the other through events—so getting them requires planning and a bit of luck in Grow a Garden. If you’re looking to complete your mutation collection or just enjoy experimenting with rare crops, these are worth going after. However, for raw income, other mutations like Zombiefied might give you a better return. Stay patient, use your pets wisely, and keep an eye out for Heatwave events—your garden’s about to get a lot greener.
