Day and Night Cycle
The game has a day and night cycle that lasts about 25 minutes total — split evenly between 12.5 minutes of day and 12.5 minutes of night. While day or night doesn’t change what items spawn directly, certain weather events only happen during day or night. If you want to skip forward, you can use a special item called the Horizon Horn to jump to the start of the next day or night phase.
Weather Conditions
At the start of each day or night, a random weather condition is chosen and lasts the entire cycle. Some weather effects can be summoned using special horns you get in-game.
The main weather types you’ll see are:
- Clear — No special weather effects.
- Foggy — Reduces visibility, but also impacts what you find.
- Cloudy — Overcast skies, changing spawn chances.
- Rainy — Can be summoned with the Tempest Horn.
- Stormy — Can be summoned with the Stormcaller Horn.
You can also use the Horizon Horn to speed up time and reroll the weather condition if you’re looking for a specific one.
Seasons
Seasons affect the whole game globally and give small boosts to certain item spawn rates. Each season lasts about 9.6 hours in real time. The four seasons cycle through in order:
- Spring
- Summer
- Autumn
- Winter
Keep an eye on the season timers, as certain items become easier to find during specific seasons.
Special Weather Events
Weather events are rare and powerful moments that affect the entire server. These only appear at the start of a new day or night and give big bonuses or unique items. Each event is exclusive to either daytime or nighttime. Here are the current weather events:
All Daytime Events
- Clover Storm Doubles all players’ luck while it lasts. Perfect time to dig for rare finds.
- Sparkling Rainbow Increases the chance of shiny items by 3%. During this event, a Pot of Gold spawns which players can collect. Collecting it for the first time gives you a special badge and a Rainbow vehicle attachment.
All Dig Nighttime Events
1. Blue Moon
Doubles all players’ strength, making it easier to dig through tough soil and find heavy items. You can also summon this event with the Blue Moon Horn.
2. Meteor Shower
Massively multiplies luck for everyone on the server. You can summon it with the Radiant Horn. During the meteor shower, a meteor lands at one of four locations: Fernhill Forest, Rooftop Woodlands, Mount Cinder, or Copper Mesa. The meteor drops one of these valuable items (equal chance for each):
- Celestial Totem ($20,000 value)
- Blood Crown ($100,000 value)
- Starfire Shovel ($600,000 value)
Use horns to summon the weather you want for better digging bonuses. Keep an eye on the day/night cycle for when special weather events can appear. Seasons affect item chances subtly, so plan your digging times around the season you’re in.
Take advantage of events like Clover Storm and Meteor Shower to boost your earnings and find rare items. Understanding how weather affects gameplay in Roblox Dig can really speed up your progress and help you score the best loot. Happy digging!
