What is Reforging?

Reforging is the process of improving your weapon by adding special enhancements. Weapons can be reforged to have qualities like Legendary, Heroic, or Epic, with Legendary being the most effective for most purposes. These reforges add bonuses such as increased damage, faster attack speed, or reduced cooldown.

All Material Needed: Hellstone, Wet Stones, and Slates

Before you can reforge, you’ll need some key materials:

• Wet Stones: These are crafted items needed to apply reforges. Different qualities of wet stones (legendary, heroic, etc.) give different bonuses.

How to Find Slates

One of the most consistent ways to get slates is by farming a specific cave area near the base sword trainer. Here’s how:

1. Head to the cave near the base sword trainer.
2. Use dynamite to clear the entrance and enter the cave and go into the Ent Den!
3. Inside, run around to spawn small golem enemies.
4. Defeat these golems, as they drop chests that can contain slates.
5. You can also open chests using forest keys for extra loot, but the main focus is killing golems for slates.

This method is effective because golems spawn frequently and drop slates quite often. You can also use tools like the Leviathan eye to stat check enemies, which can help you identify better loot opportunities.

Finding Volcanic Diamonds (Additional Material)

Besides slates, reforging may require volcanic diamonds. These are found in the volcano area and require a Hellstone pickaxe to mine. To get volcanic diamonds:

• Start at the volcano entrance.
• Carefully navigate the area avoiding lava.
• There are about five diamond spots scattered around; mine them with your Hellstone pickaxe.

Make sure you have the right pickaxe, or you won’t be able to mine the diamonds.

Crafting and Applying the Reforge

2. Craft the wet stone using your ores and materials.
3. Use the wet stone on your chosen weapon to apply the reforge.

For example, a Legendary wet stone might give +15% damage, +5% swing speed, and -10% knockback, making your weapon significantly stronger.
