How to Buy & Equip Items in Hide The Body

You can buy items in the game lobby by walking over to the Shop.

• Open the Items tab inside the Shop menu.
• Choose the item you want and spend your Coins to purchase it.
• Once bought, the item gets stored in your inventory.

To use it during a match:

• If you’re on PC, press G to open your inventory.
• On mobile, tap the bag icon in the top-left corner.

Select the item you want to use—it will drop in front of you. Pick it up and you’re ready to go.

1. Banana Peel

   A simple but effective solution to body management. This item lets you hide one body inside it. It’s ideal when you run out of traditional hiding spots, especially on smaller maps. Use it when you’re in a rush and don’t want to risk being caught.
3. Lamp
   Lights up dark areas in nighttime maps. While it doesn’t hide anything directly, it’s super useful for visibility—especially on maps like Whispering Cemetery. Helps you find hiding spots or bodies more easily when playing in low-light conditions.
4. Balloon
   Easily one of the most useful (and expensive) tools. The balloon lets you get rid of a body instantly by sending it flying into the sky. Just drop the balloon, pick it up, and use it on the body. It’s perfect for emergencies when there’s no time to hide anything properly.
5. Trap
   Freezes the Friend NPC for up to 10 seconds. You can place it near an entrance or around an area where a body is hidden. It’s a great way to buy more time if the NPC is getting close. The trap is reusable as long as the NPC doesn’t find a body.
6. Speed Coil
   Designed to give you a speed boost while picking up items and bodies. However, as of now, this item is still not working properly. Consider it a work-in-progress until the developers update its function.

• The Balloon and Box are single-use, meaning once you’ve used them, they’re gone from your inventory.
• Items like Banana Peel, Trap, and Lamp can be reused during the same match if the NPC hasn’t discovered a body.
• The Balloon costs 125 Coins, and the Box costs 75 Coins, making them the most expensive but also the most powerful tools.
• For tougher difficulties, using multiple items in combination can make a huge difference. You can delay the NPC with a Trap, slip them up with a Banana Peel, and clear the scene with a Balloon—giving you time to keep hiding more bodies.
