Fishing just dropped in King Legacy’s Update 9, and it’s more than a mini-game—it’s a way to boost your drop rates on key items like boat abilities, rare weapons, accessories, and crafting materials. If you’ve been grinding for Dragon Bones or Dragon Fangs, fishing can give you a real edge. Here’s how to get started, level up fast, and decide when it’s worth using your catch for bonuses.

Getting Your Fishing Rod & Basics

  1. Craft Your Rod: Talk to the Mystic Bookkeeper inside the castle to learn the recipe. You’ll need basic Logs and Scrap to make a rod. It shows up in your sword slot but only works by interacting with water.
  2. Find a Fishing Spot: Any water source works—even shallow pools. Cast, wait for the “!,” then click again to reel in. Fish go from Common to Mythical, each giving varying XP.

Leveling Your Fishing Skill

  • Your profile tracks Fishing Level, capped at 500. Each catch adds XP—common fish give small amounts, epics and legendaries give hundreds.
  • Early levels climb quickly, but each rank needs more XP. You can boost XP gain by landing rarer fish, so hunt spots known for Uncommon and Epic spawns.

Using Fish for Drop Boosts

  • Head to your Drop Boost menu in your profile. You can spend fish to raise the chance (in tiny increments) of specific drops—Dragon Bones, Fangs, boat skills, etc.

Conversion Rates:

  • 10 Epics → +1% drop rate
  • 200 Uncommons → +1%
  • 400 Commons → +1%

Since each percentage point takes a lot of fish, focus on materials you’ll need repeatedly, like Dragon Bones/Fangs, rather than one-off rewards.

Tips for Efficient Fishing

  • AFK Testing: Fishing moves your character on catch, so pure AFK is tricky. Instead, sit near a high-spawn spot and manually reel every 20–30 seconds.
  • Sell Extras: The Fisherman NPC buys all your fish at once—commons for small cash and rare/mythicals for big payouts. Use this to fund other upgrades.
  • Balance Grinding: Early on, level fishing to unlock better XP, but switch to quest farming or dungeons when you need fast gear.

Fishing in King Legacy is a new grind path that rewards both patience and planning. Craft your rod, chase down those high-tier spawns, and decide wisely when to spend your haul on drop boosts. Tight lines—and may your next catch bring you closer to that perfect Dragon Fang drop!
