Aether Adventure has officially added one of the most anticipated breathing styles in the game — Moon Breathing, also known as Kokushibo’s style. With a new area to explore, updated mechanics, and a few buffs and nerfs, the path to mastering this breathing isn’t straightforward. Here’s a full guide to help you unlock and master Moon Breathing in Aether Adventure. Also check out our Aether Adventure Beginner Guide.
How to Unlock Moon Breathing in Aether Adventure
There are three main ways you can get Moon Breathing in the game:
- Buy It at the Move Set Store Head to the move set store located at the Starter Island. If you’re lucky enough to find Moon Breathing available for purchase, this is the fastest and most direct method.
- Roll for It in the Gacha You can use Dash Spins to try your luck. The gacha system has been adjusted in the latest update: you now need more gold, but the cooldown has been reduced to 15 minutes (from 30). That means more chances, more often — if you have the resources.
- Find It in a Move Set Chest This method requires more grinding. Complete quests to earn gold, then use it to spin. While chests may reward you with Moon Breathing, expect a grind — drop rates aren’t guaranteed.
How to Access the New Area (Moon Village)
To reach the Moon Breathing zone:
- Go to Demon Village.
- Locate the Kokushibo Boss.
- Move forward from the Kokushibo Boss to enter Moon Village.
In this area, you’ll find the Kokushibo Boss (who drops the Moon outfit) and new gameplay options like Flash Step and dash customization. You can press Q to dash during combat, though it has a cooldown.

Once you unlock Moon Breathing, it’s not over — you need to reach 200 mastery to unlock all the moves. Note that the game recently made mastery leveling slower, so expect to grind more than before.
If you’re unlucky with rolls or short on time, trading with friends is an option. In the shared experience, a friend named GWolf handed over a spare Moon Breathing — a solid way to get started quickly if you know someone with extras.
Moon Breathing features fluid, powerful attacks with solid combo potential. The animations are detailed, and it’s one of the more polished movesets in the game so far. However, feedback from players suggests that Aether Adventure still needs improvements in overall quality of life to compete with similar games.
Moon Breathing in Aether Adventure is a fantastic addition that adds depth and flash to the gameplay. Whether you unlock it through the store, spin for it, or grind your way via quests and mastery, the payoff is worth it. Just be ready for some repetition along the way. Stay tuned for updates, and happy grinding!
