Grow a Garden Corrupted Update Guide – All New Features & Content!

The latest update for Grow a Garden is finally here, and it’s one of the most exciting events to date. Titled the Corrupted Update, this release introduces a whole range of new items, plants, pets, and events that turn the previously calm Zen atmosphere into something darker and more intense. If you’re wondering what’s changed and how to get the most out of this update, this guide covers everything you need to know.

What Is the Corrupted Update?

The Corrupted Update brings a major twist to the ongoing Zen event. A corrupt channeler has appeared, and Tranquility is being threatened. Instead of the usual peaceful Zen Aura event, there’s now a chance each hour for a Corrupt Zen Aura to occur instead.

During this time, players are tasked with collecting specific fruits for the channeler’s quests. Completing these tasks earns you rewards and increases your Corruption Level, which unlocks more mutation opportunities and resets with every Zen cycle.

To restore balance, players must contribute equal amounts of Tranquil and Corrupt mutated fruits to the central tree. Doing this rewards you with exclusive items and helps progress the event further.

1. New Plants

Several new plant species have been introduced:

  • Elder Strawberry
  • Tranquil Bloom
  • Enkaku
  • Sakura Bush
  • Lucky Bamboo
  • Dezen

Each of these may have unique uses in the event, crafting, or pet interactions.

2. New Pets

The highlight of the pet additions is the Corrupted Kitsune, a mysterious and powerful creature. Alongside it, at least five more new pets have been added. These can likely be obtained through event tasks, crates, or other special means.

3. New Items

A handful of items and tools have been added to support the corrupted gameplay:

  • Kitsune Chest – Contains 3 random pets or 3 seeds
  • Corrupted Zen Crate – Includes 5 different cosmetic rewards
  • Corrupted Pet Mutation Shard – Adds a corrupted mutation to your pet
  • Corrupt Radar – Likely helps detect event-specific elements
  • Corrupt & Tranquil Staffs – Possibly used for garden interactions or quests
  • Mutation Sprays – New sprays to apply different mutations

4. New Events and Weather Effects

  • Corrupt Zen Aura – Replaces the standard Zen Aura during some hours
  • Admin Weather Variants – Multiple new weather effects to change gameplay
  • New Mutations – Expanded mutation system for plants and pets

5. New Cosmetics

More than five new cosmetics are available for players who enjoy customizing their garden experience. These are likely found in crates or earned through participation in the event.

6. Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements

The update also comes with a set of fixes and improvements:

  • Pet gifting is now re-enabled
  • Several garden bugs and duplication glitches have been fixed
  • Pet-related performance issues addressed
