Alien Mothership 99 Nights in the Forest – How to Open Its Doors

The latest Alien update in 99 Nights in the Forest brings a fresh wave of strange occurrences, taking the eerie survival game to a whole new level. Between shadowy cultists and towering forest creatures, now alien ships are falling from the sky—and with them, powerful rewards. If you’re looking to explore the Mothership, here’s everything you need to know about how to get there and what to expect once inside.

What Is the Alien Mothership Event in 99 Nights?

Once you’ve survived long enough, you’ll see the message “Backup is on its way”, and shortly after, another warning pops up: “Something mysterious is flying above you.” That signals the start of the alien event.

During this phase, flying saucers appear and eventually crash. These sites are marked on your in-game map, so be sure to have a map crafted and ready. At each crash site, you’ll encounter hostile alien forces protecting loot such as scrap, junk, and new weapons like the Laser Sword and Ray Gun.

Among the crashed ships, one will stand out with a yellow glow—this is the one that contains a teleporter to the Mothership. Head there, defeat the enemies, and step through the teleporter to begin the next phase.

How to Progress Through the Alien Mothership and Open Locked Doors

Once inside the Mothership, you’ll face several combat challenges. Expect wave-based fights, much like the Cultist Strongholds. The enemies come hard and fast, so having a Ray Gun is extremely helpful—it has unlimited ammo and rapid fire, making it perfect for confined combat zones.

Progression through the Mothership is blocked by doors that require specific access. Near the teleporters, you’ll find a sign that says doors are for “Captains Only.” To open these doors, you need to find and defeat Alien Elite enemies. Pick up their bodies and place them on the scanner pads near the locked doors. This will trigger the door to open.

What Do You Get from the Alien Mothership?

Making it to the final chamber of the Mothership comes with some solid rewards. You’ll find:

  • UFO Junk and Alien Components
  • Meat? Sandwich and other consumables
  • New Weapons: Ray Gun, Laser Sword, Laser Cannon, and Laser Fence

All of these can be found either scattered in the room or inside a giant chest—similar to what you get from completing a Cultist Stronghold. However, loot is not guaranteed to be unique; you can still get duplicates, especially if you’ve already collected some of the alien gear before.

The Alien Mothership in 99 Nights in the Forest is one of the most rewarding—and challenging—events in the game. Between dodging powerful alien attacks and unlocking doors using elite corpses, the entire experience offers a new layer of tension and strategy. Just remember to coordinate with your party on who gets what from the final chest, and always keep an eye out for that glowing yellow saucer.
