Welcome to Mecharashi! This beginner’s guide will walk you through the crucial steps you should take in your first week—pilot selection, resource management, progression modes, and daily must-do activities. Follow this roadmap to avoid common pitfalls and set yourself up for long-term success. Also check out our Mecharasi Codes and Mecharasi Tier List for the best pilots or unit in the game.

1. Choosing Your Starting Pilot

When you first launch the game, you’ll pick one of four pilots. For a smoother start, prioritize:

  • Frida (Raider): Top-tier damage and strong cooperative “link attacks” that speed through early stages.
  • Melissa (Healer): Best PvE healer on CN servers—keeps your DPS units alive and reduces retry frustration.

Tip: Even if you prefer Melissa’s safety, Frida’s damage unlocks more content faster. Frida is our #1 recommendation; Melissa is #2.

2. Rookie Banner & Your First Mecha

The rookie banner offers three Mecha types—Light, Medium, Heavy. Aim for:

  • Light Type (Twilight Funk): Versatile and still popular on CN.
  • Medium (Bluebird): Solid sniper choice if you miss Light.
  • Heavy: Avoid early unless you’re ready to reroll.

Your first Mecha defines your playstyle, so choose wisely or be prepared to reroll.

3. Ascension & Pilot Skills

Each pilot has five ascension ranks, unlocking new AP and skill enhancements:

  1. ★1: +1 AP
  2. ★2: Enhanced pilot skill
  3. ★3: Stronger talent passive
  4. ★4: Same as ★2
  5. ★5: +1 AP (extra)

Don’t spend ascension materials until you’re sure which pilots you’ll stick with—save precious resources for Frida, Melissa, or other meta picks.

4. Prioritize Story Missions & Elite Battles

  • Story Mode: Unlocks core progression and practice.
  • Elite Battles: Available after clearing story stages; drop daily pilot materials and achievement rewards.
  • Daily Farming: Sweep completed elite stages for materials once unlocked.

5. Bolt (Drives) System Overview

Pilots equip three categories of “drives” (Alpha, Beta, Gamma) across slots that grant perks:

  • Alpha & Beta: Seven free slots each, unlocked via the skill tree.
  • Gamma: Share slots; you get eight free.
  • Gamma Slots Unlock: Spend special items to expand to 15 total drives—do not use these items until you know each pilot’s optimal drive layout.

Drives come in three colors—Red (Offense), Yellow (Support), Blue (Defense)—and some pilots require specific combinations (e.g., DPS often needs Red × 3 + Yellow × 4 in Alpha slots). Fill whatever you have early, then refine later.

6. Farming Simulated Battles

  • Mode Unlock: After certain story progress.
  • Daily Sweeps: 3× weekdays, 5× weekends.
  • Goal: Reach highest cleared floor to unlock S-rank drive drops.
  • Tip: If you can’t clear a floor, pause and come back after upgrading pilots or drives.

Sweep Alpha or Beta sectors for drive colors you most need—Red for DPS builds, Blue/Yellow for supports and tanks.

7. Weapons & Mecha Upgrades (ST)

Mecha “Stars” determine your weapon upgrade path:

  1. Collect 4 copies of a Mecha to rank it to ★2, unlocking purple weapon parts.
  2. Merge carefully—weapon parts must be at Level 1 to combine.
  3. Hold off merging beyond ★2 until you have all purple parts; reset any parts you can’t see by returning them to Level 1 in the workshop.

8. Frontier Trials for Components

  • Mode: Frontier Trial (roguelike leaderboard).
  • Objective: Complete hidden tasks for an S-rank and maximum component rewards.
  • Strategy: Run each stage three times with different teams (Light, Medium, Mixed) to farm all component types.

9. Daily & Weekly Activities

  • Co-op Missions: Earn premium currency and free Mecha parts. Focus on the Glacia faction first for its strong early Mecha.
  • Arena (PvE): Defend towers against AI; higher ranks grant more rewards and premium currency.
  • Endgame Roguelike (Weekly Reset): Borrow Mecha, use permanent pilots, and farm backpack materials. Tanks and controllers excel here—don’t chase three-star clears early.
  • Model Training & Shops: Spend sparingly on sniper crit modules; prioritize Mecha parts and free tickets over premium modules in week one.

10. Resource Management & Energy Use

  • Energy (Stamina): The game provides limited free refills. Buying 1–2 refills during your first week can accelerate progression, even for free-to-play players.
  • Backpack Crafting Materials: Save rare backpack blueprints and weight modules for future high-tier backpacks.
  • Workshop Recycling: Sell excess weapon parts for modules, but avoid merging or selling Mecha parts until you fully understand the system.

Mecharashi has a steep learning curve, but careful pilot choice, resource saving, and targeted farming will carry you through early content. Follow this guide’s order—pilot selection, ascensions, drives, weapons, and daily modes—and you’ll minimize frustration and maximize progress.
