Spaghetti Sloth Grow a Garden Guide – How to Get, Abilities, and Mutation Effects

The Spaghetti Sloth is one of the exclusive pets introduced in the August 2nd, 2025 update for Grow a Garden. Known for its food-themed ability and quirky design, this sloth adds a creative way to apply mutations to fruits in your garden. It’s a perfect choice for players who enjoy experimenting with growth outcomes and boosting mutation chances. Also check out how well Spaghetti Sloth is in Grow a Garden Tier List Guide.

How to Get the Spaghetti Sloth

You could only obtain the Spaghetti Sloth during the Cooking Event by hatching a Gourmet Egg. This pet is considered a rare pull, so players had to be lucky or hatch multiple Gourmet Eggs to unlock it.

  • Obtain Method: Gourmet Egg (Cooking Event exclusive) with 5% Drop Chance

If you missed the event, there’s no current way to get the Spaghetti Sloth. However, limited pets like this sometimes return during future reruns or special events, so it’s worth keeping an eye out.

Passive Ability – Al dente

The Spaghetti Sloth brings a food-inspired twist with its unique passive: Al dente: Every 3:20 to 14:00 minutes, the sloth will go to a nearby fruit and “cook” it, applying one of three random mutations:

  • Pasta
  • Sauce
  • Meatball

These mutations can affect the growth pattern of the fruit and may lead to advanced or special forms, depending on your setup. This makes the Spaghetti Sloth especially useful for mutation farming or targeting rare plant outcomes.

The Spaghetti Sloth is a fun and useful support pet, especially for players focused on creating or discovering fruit mutations in Grow a Garden. Its limited availability adds to its value, making it a rare find among collectors and mutation enthusiasts.

If you were lucky enough to hatch one during the Cooking Event, this pet can be a long-term asset in your lineup. And if you missed it, don’t lose hope — Grow a Garden has a history of rerunning popular pets in seasonal updates.
