6 Steps to Find Your First Exotic Prospecting Guide

Exotic items are the newest and rarest tier in prospecting, sitting above mythic. Right now, the only exotic drop is the Dinosaur Skull, and hunting one takes planning, persistence, and the right boosts.

1. Enter the Infernal Heart at the Right Time

• Spawn Cycle: Every hour at :15 and :45, the Infernal Heart—the only place exotics drop—opens for 30 minutes.
• Access Point: Fast-travel to Magma Furnace and watch for the rumble animation. A big timer marks the active window.

Dig anywhere inside the Infernal Heart, but I recommend standing at the main furnace lip where the ground is clear.

2. Activate Luck and Strength Totems

Two totems give double luck and strength for 30 minutes each:

• Lighthouse Blessing (+3 Luck): Complete the Lightkeeper’s quest at the world’s lighthouse (bring one aluminum).
• Ancient Blessing (+5 Luck): In Crystal Cavern, insert an emerald, diamond, and star shine into the gemstone wall, then speak to the hidden NPC.

Make sure both totems are active when the Infernal Heart opens.

3. Stock Up on Luck and Capacity Potions

Alchemist Station (Fortune River)

• Basic Luck Potion: +10 Luck, 20-minute duration
• Basic Capacity Potion: +50 Capacity, 20-minute duration
• Greater Luck Potion: +5 Luck, 10-minute duration
• Greater Capacity Potion: +25 Capacity, 10-minute duration

Caldera Island Shack

• Volcanic Luck Potion: +20 Luck for 10 minutes (1 000 000 shekels)
• Volcanic Strength Potion: +5 Dig Strength for 10 minutes (1 000 000 shekels)
• Supreme Luck Potion: +50 Luck for 20 minutes (150 shards)

Buy what fits your budget and stack durations to cover the full 30-minute window.

4. Use the Secret “Double Luck +50% Weight” Code

In Settings → Codes, enter the new code ‘fossilized’ to receive 2× Luck and +50% item weight. Save it for a server during a meteor shower or the Infernal Heart cycle for maximum effect.

5. Upgrade Your Tools and Gear

• Minimum Shovel: Toughness 5 required. The Divine Shovel from Crystal Cavern fits perfectly.
• High-Luck Pan: Pans also grant luck; aim for tiers with Luck 75 and higher.
• Crafted Accessories: Work toward mythic and exotic necklaces, rings, and amulets for continuous luck boosts.

Visit crafting stations as you unlock recipes, focusing on items that add luck.

6. Consider Meteor Showers and Friends

• Meteor Showers: For 150 Robux, buy a meteor shower to double server luck and boost meteor shard drops. Use during the Infernal Heart cycle.
• Friend Bonus: Each friend in your server adds 10% luck. Play in private servers with people you trust for an easy bonus.
