Grow a Garden Kitchen Storm Update Guide – New Seeds, Pets, and More!

The latest Kitchen Storm update for Grow a Garden has arrived, bringing a big cooking expansion, brand-new plants, adorable pets, and more rewards to collect. Whether you’re here for farming, pet collecting, or cooking mutated dishes for the new rat connoisseur, this patch has plenty to keep you busy.

What’s Coming in the Kitchen Storm Update

The headline feature is the Cooking Expansion, where a food connoisseur rat now visits your garden to review your mutated dishes. Every time you submit a dish, you’ll get to choose 1 of 3 rewards. Alongside this, there’s a Recipe Book to track every dish you’ve made, plus the ingredients needed to create them.

The Kitchen Storm mechanic is a special storm that grants the new Aromic mutation. By submitting food, the storm can be leveled up four times, with each stage boosting cooking speed even further. The community can work together to reach minimum cooking speeds for faster dish preparation.

Other cooking quality-of-life changes make higher-tier dishes easier to craft, and there are more than 15 possible new rewards to discover.

New Seeds, Pets, and Items

Plants Added:

  • King Cabbage
  • Badlands Pepper
  • Bitter Melon
  • Pricklefruit
  • Butternut Squash
  • Spring Onion
  • Rhubarb

Pets Added:

  • Lobster Thermidor
  • Gorilla Chef
  • 3+ more including Sunny Side Chicken

New Items:

  • Culinarian Chest – contains 3 possible pets and 3 possible seeds
  • Kitchen Crate – contains 8 possible cosmetics
  • Aromic Pet Mutation Shard – applies Aromic mutation to pets

13+ new cosmetics, new admin weathers, fresh mutations, and various bug fixes. Pet loadouts are also now a feature, letting you save and swap between up to 3 custom pet setups.

The Kitchen Storm update makes cooking a much bigger part of Grow a Garden, rewarding players for experimenting with mutated dishes and giving collectors new pets and plants to hunt down. With the combination of new seeds, pets, items, and quality-of-life improvements, this patch keeps the game feeling fresh for both new and veteran players. If you want to maximize rewards, focus on cooking mutated dishes during the storm events and upgrading the storm speed together with the community.
