1. Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper is a patrol-based entity that spawns from wooden sheds scattered around the map. If you walk on grass, it will immediately chase and kill you.

How to Survive:

  • Always stick to the stone or dirt paths.
  • If you hear it nearby, wait for it to return to its shed and despawn.
  • When it’s active, keep your distance and avoid grass at all costs.

2. Monument

Monument is a sound-based entity that stalks you throughout the subfloor. It reacts to running footsteps and will hunt you down.

How to Survive:

  • Move slowly and avoid unnecessary noise.
  • If you hear rapid footsteps approaching, look directly at Monument to freeze it temporarily.
  • Maintain eye contact until it stops moving, then proceed cautiously.

3. Mandrake

Mandrake is a surprise attacker that erupts from the ground with a deafening scream, instantly killing you if you don’t react.

How to Survive:

  • Pick it up and bury it back into the ground where it spawned.
  • If Groundskeeper is nearby, it may distract Mandrake for you.
  • Alternatively, run far enough away before it catches you.

4. Surge

Surge is a rush-like entity that sweeps through areas at high speed.

How to Survive:

  • Look for the yellow flashing that signals its arrival.
  • Hide in a safe spot until it passes.
  • If shelter is nearby, duck inside to avoid being hit.

5. Snare

Snare functions like a bear trap, immobilizing you and leaving you vulnerable to other threats.

How to Survive:

  • Keep your eyes on the ground to spot and avoid them.
  • In chases (such as with Eyestalk), Snares can still spawn — be extra cautious.

6. Eyestalk

Eyestalk’s chase works similarly to Seek’s chase from earlier sections of Doors. It forces you into a high-speed escape sequence.

How to Survive:

  • Follow the correct paths while avoiding obstacles.
  • Watch for Snares during the chase, as stepping on one can end your run.

7. Bramble (The World Lotus)

Bramble is a stationary-but-lethal entity with long-range vision that’s drawn to lanterns.

How to Survive:

  • When Bramble’s light is ON, stand still and avoid movement.
  • If it spots you, run to a locker quickly.
  • If its light turns OFF, you have a chance to move away.
  • Stay far from lanterns to avoid triggering a spawn.

So, Learn each entity’s trigger and behavior to avoid unnecessary risks. Take your time — rushing through the Outdoor section of Doors increases mistakes. Keep an eye on the ground for traps and listen carefully for audio cues. If multiple entities spawn close together, prioritize hiding and finding safe zones over progressing quickly. Mastering these mechanics will let you navigate the Outdoor subfloor safely and push further in your Doors run without getting caught off guard.
