All New Units All Star Tower Defense X Update 4 Ranked Tier List Best One!

Update 4 of All Star Tower Defense X has just launched, and with it comes a wave of new and updated characters. Many of these units are surprisingly easy to obtain or evolve, making this tier list more straightforward than usual—except for Toby, who’s a bit tricky to unlock. After testing most of the characters in both Progressive and Infinite modes, here’s a detailed breakdown of where each one stands in the current meta. ASTD X Update 4 Tier List

Meta Progressive Tier

These units excel in Progressive mode thanks to their high DPS, special abilities, or strong early-game presence.

• Toji – Second-best bleed unit in the game. Can sacrifice up to five allied units to gain permanent damage boosts. While this ability is tricky to use in Progressive, his consistent bleed damage and affordability keep him high in the rankings.
• Yami – A strong burn-focused ground unit with “Black Flame” ability. Outdamages many other burn units but still slightly behind Kokushiba and Akainu in utility.
• Kurama – Possibly the best unit from this update. A green hybrid that can switch between full AoE hybrid, circle AoE, or cone ground modes. Extremely cheap and effective in early game.
• Tony Stark (Coyote) – A blue ground unit with impressive range and a long attack line. Solid, but overshadowed by units with more utility.
• Toby – Earned from completing Tower mode. Boasts the second-highest DPS in the game and is an affordable powerhouse for ground damage.
• Inumaki – Versatile purple unit with the ability to change attack styles mid-battle, making him a flexible support pick.

Meta Infinite Tier

These units are excellent in Infinite mode for their scaling potential and consistent high output.

• Toji – Retains high value here due to his bleed and sacrifice ability’s scaling in longer matches.
• Kurama – Hybrid versatility gives him a strong place in Infinite.
• Toby – High DPS and low cost make him reliable even in extended battles.

Great Tier

These units are strong but don’t quite reach meta status, often due to competition or limited utility.

• Benny Maru – High-damage ground burn unit, but overshadowed by Kokushiba and Akainu who do similar things with more versatility. Still a strong choice if you need extra fire coverage.
• Tony Stark (Coyote) – Big range and damage, but limited compared to freezing or crowd-control units.

Support Tier

Units that shine more for their utility than raw damage.

• Inumaki – Flexible attack modes make him an excellent utility unit for various team setups.

ASTD X Update 4 brings a healthy mix of powerful new characters and balanced reworks, shifting the meta in both Progressive and Infinite modes. Kurama stands out as the update’s MVP, while Toby and Toji secure their spots as dominant damage dealers. Yami, Inumaki, and Benny Maru remain strong options, though their roles are more situational. As always, the best choice depends on your team composition, but with so many viable picks this update, players have more strategic variety than ever before.
