This beginner’s guide covers everything from your first unit to endgame farming methods so you can progress efficiently without wasting time. 1. Starting Out – Use Your Free Exodia Unit

When you first join the game, you receive a free Exodia unit. This is incredibly strong for early progression and can carry you through the story mode with ease.

Steps to Follow:

  1. Equip your Exodia unit immediately.
  2. Play the story mode on Nightmare difficulty for maximum rewards.
  3. Once the story is complete, start Infinite Mode on the last story stage.

Extra Tip: Always pick the Super Fast card option in Infinite Mode—it speeds up runs and improves rewards. You don’t even have to win; just AFK and retry until you reach level 30.

2. Reach Level 30 to Unlock Trading

Hitting level 30 is a key milestone because it unlocks trading, allowing you to exchange units, artifacts, and more with other players. Infinite Mode is the fastest way to get there, and you’ll earn currency alongside your XP.

3. Aim for Key Banner Units

Once you’ve unlocked trading and earned enough currency, target these priority units:

From the Main Banner:

  • Senko – Mythical farm unit and essential for resource generation.

From the Exclusive Banner:

  • Vivian
  • Megumin
  • Idol

These units will help you progress faster and perform better in various game modes.

4. Unlock and Farm the Tower

To unlock Tower mode:

  1. Go to the Events Area and talk to Yuta.
  2. Complete his short quest to gain access.

Why Tower is Important:

  • Early floors are easy to clear.
  • Rewards include rerolls for traits.

Although Tower isn’t the fastest way to get rerolls long-term, it’s a useful starting point.

5. Join the JoJo Event for Strong Units

The JoJo Event is a great way to get high-value units early, especially if you can team up with stronger players.

Recommended First Picks:

  1. D4C – Excellent for later tower farming.
  2. Made in Heaven – Strong utility and damage.

You can upgrade modifiers at night during this event and search for chests for bonus drops.

6. Complete the Mushroom Event for Robin & Celestial Pendant

After obtaining D4C, move to the Mushroom Event to get two must-have items:

Key Targets:

  • Robin – Once maxed, instantly upgrades all previously placed and future units to max level, saving huge amounts of money in every mode.
  • Celestial Pendant Artifact – Costs 40,000 mushrooms.

Farming Details:

  • Each stage gives ~1,000 mushrooms and takes about 1 minute.
  • Robin has a 2% drop rate—keep farming until you get both the pendant and Robin.

7. Use Divine Wrath Enchant for AFK Tower Farming

Once you have the Celestial Pendant, roll for the Divine Wrath enchant and equip it on D4C.

Why This Works:

  • D4C’s HP boost makes your base nearly invincible in towers.
  • Allows you to macro farm towers with minimal effort.

Even without Divine Wrath, you can still manually farm towers effectively.

8. Maximize Rerolls with Ragna Capsules

When farming towers, you’ll earn claw/fang materials (cap: 10,000). Spend these by talking to the Ragna NPC in the Events Area.

Best Purchase:

  • Ragna Capsules – Contain rerolls, items, and even Ragna units.
  • This method yields far more rerolls than buying them directly.

9. Recommended Endgame Farming Targets

Once your core team is set, focus on these late-game units and events:

  • Gilisia from the Ragna Event.
  • Sid from the Lawless Raid (evolve to Guardian Sid).
  • Sung Jin Woo  from banners (use Mushroom Event shop luck potions to increase pull chance).
  • Miyabi from the Summer Event.

Also, farm additional artifacts from the Mushroom Shop to expand your build options.

By following this beginner progression route—starting with Exodia, targeting must-have banner units, unlocking Tower and Events, then farming efficiently—you’ll set yourself up for long-term success in Anime Guardians. Units like Robin and D4C are cornerstones of almost every strategy, while events like JoJo and Mushroom provide the resources and upgrades you need to compete at higher levels.
