Basketball Zero has just dropped its latest update, and this time we’re getting one of the flashiest miracle styles yet — Rubberman. With his stretchy arms, unique moves, and a mix of both defensive and offensive play, this update changes how players approach the court. Along with the new style, Ranked Season 3 is live, plus some system reworks and rebalances. Let’s dive into all the details.
Rubberman Style Overview
Rubberman is a Miracle style, meaning it’s here permanently. Inspired by stretchy and unpredictable movement, this style comes with the ability to switch between Defensive and Offensive modes using Gear Switch. Instead of just adding moves, Gear Switch changes how your existing abilities function depending on the mode you’re in.
Defensive Mode
- Off the Ball – Gum Block: Stretch your arms to grab the ball within a certain radius and pull it to yourself.
- On the Ball – Observe: Works like a dodge that activates when someone tries to steal the ball from you.
Offensive Mode
- Off the Ball – Gum Slap: Smack the ball out of an opponent’s hands so you or your teammate can grab it.
- On the Ball – Undetermined Shot: Launch a lob near the hoop and auto-adjust the shot with your extendable arms.
Awakening Moves
When awakened, Rubberman gains two powerful abilities:
- Liberation Dribble: Perform three dribbles that, if timed right, stun the entire court.
- Drums of Basketball: Pull off a dramatic half-court 3-pointer.
Rubber Zone
This ability makes Rubberman even more dangerous:
- Immune to ankle breaks.
- Stuns opponents when you ankle break them.
Ranked Season 3
The new ranked season is live. Season 2 ended with a mystery reward — a goal effect. The new Season 3 reward is still under wraps, but competition is already heating up. Expect more intense matches as players grind for higher ranks.
General Changes
- Champion of Champions title has been renamed to Divine Champion for clarity.
- A lot of the game’s systems have been rewritten for smoother performance and stability.
- Cutscene rewrites are starting with awakenings, with plans to expand across abilities.
Rebalances
- Lazy Worker’s Trap is now semi-blockable, meaning there’s finally a counter, but it remains tricky.
- Trap range has been nerfed significantly, reducing its overpowered edge.
Basketball Zero New Code
- RUBBER250K
Don’t miss out on event rewards! Keep an eye out for fresh codes tied to this update. (So far, the official code drop hasn’t been revealed beyond the main event, but make sure to redeem it once available.)
The Rubberman update in Basketball Zero feels like a game-changer, especially with the ability to shift between defensive and offensive playstyles. Combine that with powerful awakening skills and the new Rubber Zone, and you’ve got a versatile style that rewards both timing and strategy. Add in the start of Ranked Season 3 and general improvements, and it’s the perfect time to jump back onto the court.
