Cooking is a core part of the Beanstalk Event in Grow a Garden. Proper cooking turns crops into useful items for crafting, event goals, or trading. This guide walks you through unlocking cooking, the must-know recipes for the event, how to prepare ingredients fast, and pet combos that massively speed up production. Also check out How to Make Money Easily in Grow a Garden Guide!
During the Beanstalk Event you’ll see event-only crops and shop items that need cooked ingredients. Cooking lets you convert raw produce into high-value items (and some event recipes are required for rare rewards). If you want to be efficient during limited-time event windows, set up cooking the right way and stockpile ingredients beforehand.
How to Unlock Cooking in Grow a Garden
You must unlock the Cooking Kit Cosmetic to start cooking. It’s earned from Garden Guide achievements. Complete these five simple tasks:
- Shovel 100+ times
- Harvest 200 carrots
- Gift 1 carrot
- Sell 500 strawberries
- Gift 5 strawberries
Finish all five and you’ll get the Cooking Kit, which enables the cooking UI in your garden.
Cooking during the Beanstalk Event turns time and crops into event currency and rare items. The key is to unlock the Cooking Kit, prepare the core recipes (Corn Dog, Small Treats, Small Toys), and use pets like Gorilla Chef, and Orangutan to cut costs and speed up production. Do your prep ahead of the event window, craft in batches, and you’ll clear event goals much faster in Grow a Garden.
