The Swarm Event in Anime Rangers X has quickly become one of the toughest challenges in the game. Many players are struggling to finish the boss stage fast enough, especially against Boros and his massive health pool. The good news? With the right team setup, you can clear this raid in under a few minutes.

In this guide, I’ll break down the three best teams you can use to speedrun the Swarm Event, ranked from strongest to weakest. Each team has different requirements depending on what units you own, but one thing is clear—you’ll need Griffith, Light, and Skull Knight to have a realistic shot at clearing the stage quickly.

Team 1: The Fastest Speedrun Team (Best Choice)

If you want the fastest possible clears, this is the team you should build. With this lineup, runs can be done in under a minute.

Core Units:

  • Griffith (main support/buffer)
  • Light (essential)
  • Skull Knight (support counter to debuffs)
  • Akuma (main damage dealer)
  • Shenron
  • Johnny
  • Leaf Ninja

Key Notes:

  • Akuma is the centerpiece here. He has a bug/feature where he sometimes deals massive burst damage, instantly deleting Boros’s health bar.
  • Keep auto-upgrade on for all units except Griffith, since his upgrades are too expensive early on.
  • Equip crit gear on Johnny, evade gear on Naruto/Leaf Ninja, and give Akuma the Soul of Fire for maximum DPS.

Result:
This team is so strong that the best clear time recorded is just 59 seconds. That’s easily the most broken speedrun comp available right now.

Team 2: Reliable Substitute Team (No Akuma or Gogeta)

If you’re missing Akuma or Gogeta, this is the team to use. It’s slower, but still clears Boros in a respectable time.

Core Units:

  • Griffith
  • Skull Knight (replaces Gogeta)
  • Usopp / Sniper King (replaces Akuma)
  • Shenron
  • Johnny

Key Notes:

  • Turn off auto-upgrade for Skull Knight since his main role is support, not damage.
  • Focus on upgrading Shenron and Johnny first because they’ll be your primary DPS sources.
  • Usopp remains underrated—his damage might look low on paper, but with Griffith buffs, it scales very well.

This setup can clear Boros in around 3 minutes, which is three times slower than the first team but still consistent enough for farming.

Team 3: Budget Team (For Players Without Meta Units)

This team is for players who don’t yet have Akuma, Gogeta, or Omega Shenron. It’s the weakest setup here, but it still works.

Core Units:

  • Griffith (non-negotiable)
  • Skull Knight
  • Kilawa (main burst unit)
  • Johnny
  • Leaf Ninja

Key Notes:

  • Kilawa is surprisingly strong thanks to his 1.5-second ability cooldown, letting him spam skills like crazy.
  • Turn on auto-upgrade for everyone since this team doesn’t have any expensive units to manage.
  • Even without top-tier units, Griffith’s buffs make the team viable.

Expect a clear time of around 3 minutes 30–40 seconds. It’s slower than Team 2 but still very doable, especially if you’re grinding Boros for drops.

The Swarm Event is tough, but with the right setup, you can farm Boros efficiently.

  • Team 1 is by far the best and can shred through the event in under a minute.
  • Team 2 is the balanced substitute option if you don’t own Akuma or Gogeta.
  • Team 3 is the fallback lineup, weaker but still reliable for clears.

If you have Akuma, go all in on Team 1—you’ll save hours of farming time. But if not, don’t worry; even the slower teams can get the job done with good upgrades and Griffith’s support.
