Tower Mode All Star Tower Defense X Guide, How to Beat It Fast!

Tower Mode in All Star Tower Defense X (ASTD X) is one of the most challenging game modes, but also one of the most rewarding. Clearing higher floors quickly requires not just powerful units but also the right strategy and team coordination. If you’re looking to beat Tower Mode fast, here’s a complete guide to help you progress efficiently.

Tower Mode Basics

All floors in Tower Mode follow the same format, but there are some exceptions. Every 10 floors, you’ll encounter an additional wave along with the Tobi Boss, specifically on Floors 10, 20, and 30. Auto Start and Auto Skip should always be turned on to save time. However, if your DPS feels weak, it’s best to disable skip on the second-to-last wave to avoid losing.

Best Units for Tower Runs

Early on, RNG plays a big role in how fast you can progress. You should aim for strong starter units such as Reigen, Broly, Vegeta (4 Star), and Rukia. If you’re lucky, Kurama 4-Star might appear on Floor 1, and if it does, definitely grab it.

For DPS, some of the best options to target include:

  • Ace
  • Zeke
  • Ulquiorra
  • Sukuna
  • Yami
  • Toji
  • Trunks
  • Fireren

Meanwhile, Ramen Guy is guaranteed in the first recruitment and should always be picked, as he is crucial for fast runs thanks to his money boost.

Strategy for Higher Floors

When you climb higher floors, it’s recommended to defend in the front unless your DPS is lacking. Always focus on upgrading your DPS first. Support units don’t need to be maxed right away—by Floor 19, most buffers reach their maximum buff anyway (except for Erwin). Only upgrade Ramen Guy if needed for extra money.

Another smart tactic is to build your team around one strong element. For example, Red (King Kai), Green (Erwin), or Purple (Lelouch). Units with the same element grant an additional 10% DMG boost, which can stack up to 100%. Artifacts can also be purchased from the Tower Shop to give bonus damage.

Example Run Setup

In one successful run, the following setup was used:

  • Yami as the main DPS
  • Toji as sub-DPS with bleed damage
  • Trunks as early DPS and air killer
  • Ramen Guy upgraded once for money
  • Artifacts: Red & Purple

This build proved effective for clearing floors quickly, showing the importance of a balanced team.

Tower Mode in ASTD X is all about balancing your RNG pulls with solid unit upgrades and efficient strategies. While luck plays a role in which units you can recruit, proper planning—such as grabbing Ramen Guy early, focusing on DPS units, and taking advantage of elemental synergies—can drastically speed up your runs. Keep refining your lineup, learn from each attempt, and soon you’ll be clearing high floors with ease.
