True Modes are some of the most game-changing mechanics in Type Soul, each bringing unique buffs, abilities, and domain powers. Some are absolute monsters that can wipe entire squads, while others barely add anything new to the base kit.
After testing nearly every single True Mode (and seeing the rest in action), here’s the complete True Mode tier list—from God-Tier monsters to D-Tier disappointments. Aside from that, check out our Daily Codes Update for Type Soul and Trading Value for Type Soul!
Type Soul True Mode Tier List
God Tier (Unstoppable Picks)
These True Modes are either nearly unkillable or simply broken in terms of power and utility. If you unlock one of these, you’re set.
- True Overkill – Practically unkillable. The best of the best.
- True Wind – Full AoE stun, massive damage, one-tap potential. Even nerfed, still broken.
- True Kyoka – Clone spam locks enemies in place. Fighting it is borderline impossible.
- True Visionary – Completely bugged and unfair; makes fights one-sided.
- True Stark – Wolves plus Lilynette equals unfightable.
- True Miracle (pre-fix) – Spam-heavy with overwhelming pressure; still S if nerfed.
S Tier (Overpowered, but Counterable)
Strong enough to dominate fights but not as unfair as God Tier.
- True Poison – Groups enemies in your domain for one-tap potential.
- True Panta – Auto teleports, one-inch punch, massive AoE roar.
- True Slash – Still excellent even after nerfs.
- True Storm – Teleports around spamming M1s; fun and deadly.
- True Ice – Infinite auto-dodges, AoE freeze, tornado-like M1s.
- True Ash – High damage, blinds the entire map.
- True Vamp – Healing and AoE spam, very strong in skilled hands.
- True Blood – Post-nerf, still powerful thanks to lifesteal and domain healing.
A Tier (Balanced and Reliable)
Strong, fun, and effective without being broken. These feel like how True Modes should be designed.
- True Light – Starfalls and tons of health packs; already strong base kit.
- True Zombie – Situational but devastating if you rack up kills early.
- True Volcanica – Solid AoE and damage boost.
- True Suzumabachi – Teleports, rockets, auto-targets; nasty kit.
- True Creation – Unique mechanics with one-tap combo potential.
- True Explode – Map-wide nuke, though weaker than it should be.
- True Vampire – High-tier sustain and AoE, just below S.
- True Death Dealing – Damage-heavy, can carry fights.
- True Ink – Removes names, making you untouchable.
- True Acid – Nerfed but still good for damage and zoning.
- True Flower – Nerfed, now focused on damage over stun.
- True Berserk – Can’t be stunned, solid offensive pressure.
- True Phoenix – AoE fire turrets and huge sustain.
- True Lightning – AoE lightning storm; fun and dangerous.
- True Water – Drains reiatsu like crazy.
- True Bone – Reliable kit with no major weaknesses.
- True Theater – Still decent post-nerf.
- True Duality – Spawns a massive NPC to help in battle.
- True Shinso – Balanced and versatile.
- True Aragante – Not flashy, but effective enough.
B Tier (Mediocre, Situational, or Team-Oriented)
Good in specific situations but outclassed by stronger modes.
- True Weight – Domain launches enemies down for infinite stun, but situational.
- True Heat – Supernova does massive damage, but charge time hurts viability.
- True Compulsory – Infinite stun hands, better than it looks but not consistent.
- True Judgment – 50/50 chance of big damage or nothing.
- True Superstar – Lacks impact compared to higher tiers.
- True Snow – Barely changes; mostly cosmetic.
- True Shadow – Spawns NPCs but doesn’t hit hard.
- True Fire – Decent damage, but nothing standout.
- True Confusion – Hard to use effectively.
- True Balance – Team-focused healing, low impact in damage.
- True Gluttony – Traps for zoning, but underwhelming.
C Tier (Weak, Barely an Upgrade)
These True Modes don’t justify the grind.
- True Power – Just a 20% damage buff. That’s it.
- True Royal – Adds a couple swords, but cooldowns remain long.
- True Zangetsu – Barely changes anything.
- True Gluttony – Vault clone with minimal upgrades.
D Tier (Trash Tier)
Not worth your time—avoid these.
- True Iron – No one uses it, and for good reason.
The best True Modes in Type Soul are the ones that either make you unkillable or drastically change your fighting style, like Overkill, Kyoka, and Visionary. On the other hand, some like Power, Royal, and Iron feel almost like wasted slots. If you’re grinding for a True Mode, prioritize God Tier or S Tier picks—they’ll completely change your experience in fights.
