In Grow A Garden on Roblox, progressing through the shops is one of the most important parts of the game. To unlock the Tier 2 Shop, you’ll need to feed food to Sam, the NPC.

This might sound confusing at first, but once you understand how food works in the game, it becomes a straightforward process. Here’s a full guide to help you unlock the Tier 2 Shop. Also check out our Grow a Garden Codes and Grow a Garden Tier List.

4 Step to Easily Unlock Tier 2 Shop

Step 1: Get Food Items

To feed Sam, you need food items. These aren’t just lying around—you’ll have to craft them. To start, open your Garden Guide and head to the Achievements tab. Under both the Common Achievements and Rare Achievements, you can earn Cooking Kits as rewards. These kits are the key to making food.

  • Common Achievements → Easier to complete, grants 1 Cooking Kit.
  • Rare Achievements → A bit harder, but gives another Cooking Kit.

That means you can collect up to two Cooking Kits in total.

Step 2: Place and Use Cooking Kits

Cooking Kits will show up in your Cosmetics Inventory. Even though they’re labeled as cosmetics, they actually have a purpose. Place the kit on your farm, and you’ll be able to start crafting recipes.

Step 3: Make the Best Recipes

Not all food is equal. Feeding Sam better food gives more XP, which means faster progress toward unlocking the Tier 2 Shop. The rarest foods—Transcendent and Prismatic recipes—give the most XP.

If you want to maximize efficiency, focus on creating these rare recipes. The stronger the food, the fewer times you’ll need to feed Sam before unlocking the shop.

Step 4: Feed Sam the NPC

Once you’ve cooked some food, hold it in front of Sam. He’ll react and gain XP. Keep feeding him until his level reaches the requirement to unlock the Tier 2 Shop.

Unlocking the Tier 2 Shop in Grow A Garden is all about feeding Sam the best food you can make. By earning Cooking Kits through achievements, crafting rare recipes, and consistently feeding him, you’ll unlock the next shop tier in no time. If you want to speed things up, focus on Transcendent and Prismatic foods for the best results.
