How to Get and Cook Food in One Block
In One Block, surviving hunger is just as important as surviving raids. Without a steady food supply, your run can end quickly, no matter how strong your tools or weapons are.
Unlike most survival games where food is scattered around the world, in One Block you’ll need to farm and cook if you want to stay alive. Here’s a complete guide on how to keep your hunger bar full. Check out our One Block Weapon Guide and How to Farm Gems.
How to Get Food
1. Farming
The first step to having a reliable food source is investing in farming. Go to the General Workbench and buy a Farm Stand for $1000. Once placed, interact with it to purchase Farm Plots and fruit seeds. Some of the fruits you can grow include:
- Strawberries
- Bananas
- Peaches
- Oranges
- Watermelons
Each seed pack gives six fruits, and out of all of them, watermelons restore the most hunger. Setting up multiple plots ensures a constant supply of fruit, making farming the most sustainable way to eat in One Block.
2. Killing Animals for Meat
By progressing into the game, you can get meat by killing animals like Sheep, Cows, Pigs and Chicken. Killing them will give you raw meat, but be careful—eating it raw will actually make your hunger worse.
How to Cook Meat in the Cooking Pot
The Raw Meat can be cooked by using a Cooking Pot. Buy the Cooking Pot from the General Workbench for $1500. Place your raw meat inside to cook it into proper meals. Cooked meat provides much more hunger recovery compared to fruits, making it a great complement to your farm.
The key to survival in One Block isn’t just weapons or upgrades—it’s food management. By setting up a Farm Stand with plots for fruit and using a Cooking Pot for meat, you’ll have an endless food supply.
While the initial investment might feel expensive, it’s far more reliable than waiting for random apple drops or scavenging islands for food. Once you’ve built these systems, hunger will no longer be a threat to your adventure.
