In One Block, tools and weapons are the backbone of your survival. Whether you’re mining resources or fighting off raiders, the type of tool you use makes a huge difference.
Starting out, you’ll only have basic stone tools, which are the weakest in the game. To progress further and survive tougher challenges, upgrading your tools and weapons is a must. Luckily, there are two main ways to do it.
Treasure Chests in One Block
As you explore different islands, you’ll come across Treasure Chests. These chests can be mined the same way you mine the One Block. Inside, you might find upgraded tools that will help you along the way. Here’s what you can expect:
- Iron Tools – Commonly found, useful for faster mining.
- Gold Tools – Less common but better than iron.
- Diamond Tools – Very rare in treasure chests but the strongest option if you’re lucky enough to find them.
Since Diamond tools have a very low chance of appearing, relying only on chests may not be enough if you want to progress quickly.
Setting Up a Forge Workbench
The more reliable way to get better gear is by setting up a Forge Workbench in your base. It costs $2500 to build, but once you have it, you can buy any tool in the game directly. Here’s the breakdown of costs:
- Stone Tools – $500 each
- Iron Tools – $1500 each
- Gold Tools – $3000 each
- Diamond Tools – $6000 each
Investing in a Forge is expensive at first, but it guarantees you access to stronger tools without relying on luck from treasure chests.
Why Upgrading Tools Matters
Better tools don’t just mine the One Block faster—they also last longer and make survival easier. For combat, upgrading your sword or spear means you can take down raiders with fewer hits, saving both time and resources. In the long run, stronger equipment keeps you ahead as the challenges get harder.
Upgrading tools and weapons in One Block is all about balance. If you enjoy exploring, treasure chests can reward you with stronger gear for free, though the chances for diamonds are slim.
On the other hand, setting up a Forge is the safest bet if you want steady progress and guaranteed upgrades. No matter which path you take, stronger tools are key to mining faster, surviving raids, and thriving in One Block.
