The Fairy Event Part 2 in Grow a Garden finally introduces 5 new pets that bring unique abilities to your garden. Each pet comes with special traits that can help with plant growth, mutations, or even cooking. All of these pets became available starting September 6th, 2025, as part of the update. 1. Cardinal
- Obtaining Method: Enchanted Chest, Exotic Enchanted Chest, Rainbow Sack (7%)
- Hunger: 1,500
- Passive Ability: Makes all Magical-type plants grow about 1.6x faster.
Cardinal is considered a supportive pet for players who rely on Magical plants. It’s one of the more straightforward pets to use, focusing purely on growth speed.
2. Shroomie
- Obtaining Method: Enchanted Chest, Exotic Enchanted Chest, Rainbow Sack (7%)
- Hunger: 20,000
- Passive Ability: All nearby plants within ~25 studs get a 0.006x size bonus for every Fungus-type plant in your garden (up to 300).
Shroomie is designed for players who specialize in Fungus plants. The more Fungus plants you have, the bigger the bonus, making this pet scale with your garden setup.
3. Phoenix
- Obtaining Method: Enchanted Chest, Exotic Enchanted Chest, Rainbow Sack (7%)
- Hunger: 65,000
Passive Abilities:
- Pets from the mutation machine gain +1 to 4.89 age value.
- Every 6:40 minutes, the Phoenix travels between ~4 random fruits, applying the Flaming mutation. Fruits it passes have a ~20% chance to mutate as well.
Phoenix is the most powerful of the four, boosting mutations and spreading the rare Flaming mutation across your garden. It’s a must-have for mutation-focused players.
4. Drake
- Obtaining Method: Unknown (price listed as 849)
- Hunger: Unknown
- Appearance: Looks like a mix between a triceratops and a rhino.
- Passive Ability: Flambe – goes to a Cooking Kit, breathes fire on it, and speeds up the cooking process.
Drake is more utility-focused, making it great for players who spend time cooking. Its ability directly boosts cooking speed, which could be important for crafting food-related items.
5. Luminous Sprite

Passive Ability: Illuminate – occasionally flies to a random fruit and applies the Luminous mutation.
Luminous Sprite is a mutation-focused pet, directly tied to applying the Luminous mutation, which could become key for high-value fruits and advanced strategies.
With the Fairy Event Part 2, players now have access to 5 new pets—Cardinal, Shroomie, Phoenix, and Drake. Each pet brings something different, whether it’s faster growth, size bonuses, mutation boosts, or cooking support.
Collecting them may take effort, but their unique passives make them valuable additions to any garden. If you’re aiming for efficiency, Phoenix seems to be the standout pet. But for players who enjoy specialized setups, Shroomie and Drake add fresh strategies to the game.
