Blox Fruits All Rods, Bait, and How to Get Them

Fishing in Blox Fruits is one of the newer systems where players can catch different types of fish, from Rare to Mythical. To do this, you’ll need fishing rods and bait, which can’t just be bought instantly with money.

Instead, you’ll have to interact with Angler NPCs spread across all three seas and complete their quests to unlock better gear. If you’re aiming to catch the best fish, upgrading your rods and collecting stronger bait is the key. This guide covers every rod and bait available in Blox Fruits, along with how to unlock them.

All Rods in Blox Fruits & How to Get Them

Fishing rods are unlocked through Angler NPC quests. Each sea has its own Angler NPC, and you’ll need to grind quests for each one separately. Here’s the full list of rods:

1. Normal Fishing Rod

The Normal Rod is the easiest to obtain. You can get it in all three seas by simply speaking to a fisherman NPC. Every player usually starts with this rod, so there’s nothing special required here.

2. Gold Rod

The Gold Rod is available in the First Sea, specifically at Skylands. To unlock it:

  • Complete 10 Angler Trust Quests.

  • Level up your fishing rod skill by fishing before speaking to the Angler.

  • Requirements: 500,000 Beli, 4 Wooden Planks (from chopping trees), and 3 Scrap Metals (dropped from enemies).

3. Treasure Rod

This rod is a rare find and can drop in all three seas.

  • While fishing, there’s a chance to catch a Sunken Chest.

  • Opening the chest has a small chance of giving you the Treasure Rod.

  • The drop is luck-based, so patience is key.

4. Shark Rod

The Shark Rod is unlocked in the Second Sea, at the Flower Islands.

  • Complete 10 Angler Quests.

Gather the following items:

  • 1 Meteorite (dropped by Orbitus boss in Green Zone).

  • 1,000 Fragments.

  • 5 Vampire Fangs (from Graveyard Island vampires, level 975).

  • 7 Wooden Planks.

5. Corrupted Shark Rod

To upgrade into the Corrupted Shark Rod, you’ll need the Shark Rod first.

  • Travel to the Oni Realm and speak to the Corrupted Fisherman.

Requirements:

  • 100 Corrupted Fish (caught by fishing in Oni Realm whirlpools).

  • 500 Oni Points (earned by handing corrupted fish).

You’ll keep both the normal Shark Rod and the Corrupted Shark Rod. The corrupted version lets you catch corrupted fish anywhere.

6. Shell Rod

The Shell Rod is found in the Third Sea at Hydra Island.

  • Complete 40 Angler Quests.

Requirements:

  • 2 Mutant Teeth (from Terra Sharks).

  • 2,000 Fragments.

  • 8 Mystic Droplets (dropped by Sea Soldiers and Water Fighters).

  • 12 Wooden Planks.

7. Admin Rod

The Admin Rod is the rarest of them all. It’s not craftable and can only be obtained directly from developers or admins. Look for players with a hammer symbol next to their names. If you’re lucky, they might hand it over.

  • Aside from fishing, this rod can stun players infinitely and drag them around, even multiple at once.

All Bait in Blox Fruits & How to Get Them

Bait works the same way as rods—you unlock better ones by finishing Angler NPC quests. The stronger the bait, the higher your chance of catching Epic or Mythical fish.

  • Basic Bait – Given free the first time you speak to a Fisherman NPC. After that, you can restock it for $1,000 per 10 pieces.
  • Kelp Bait – Becomes available once you finish 3 quests from the Sky Island Angler. Costs $12,000 for 10 pieces.
  • Good Bait – Earned after 10 Sky Island Angler quests. Price is $8,000 for 10 pieces.
  • Abyssal Bait – Get by completing 5 Green Zone Angler quests in the Second Sea. Requires 1 Demonic Wisp plus $25,000 for 10 pieces.
  • Frozen Bait – Rewarded after 20 Green Zone Angler quests. To get 10, you need 1 Yeti Fur plus $36,000.
  • Epic Bait – Available once you clear 10 Hydra Town Angler quests. Recipe: 1 Terror Eyes and $50,000 for 10 pieces.
  • Carnivore Bait – Unlocked by finishing 15 Hydra Town Angler quests. Needs 1 Dragon Scale and $60,000 for 10 pieces.

Tips for Unlocking Rods & Baits

  • Quest Grind – Each quest takes 15 minutes cooldown, so plan your farming time.
  • Separate Progress – Quest progress doesn’t carry over between seas. You must grind each Angler NPC.
  • Stats Matter – Increasing your Rod Mastery and Fishing Level improves your chances while waiting for the next quest.
  • Future Updates – New rods, bait, and fish will be added in later patches, so keep an eye on updates.

Fishing in Blox Fruits isn’t just about throwing a line into the water—it’s a grind-heavy system tied to quests, resources, and mastery. If you want to unlock the best rods and bait, focus on completing Angler NPC quests in each sea. With patience, you’ll soon be reeling in Epic and Mythical fish with the strongest gear.
