Movement speed is one of the most useful bonuses in Grow a Garden, especially when you’re grinding for resources or trying to move quickly across your garden. Some pets give you passive boosts that make your gameplay smoother. In this guide, we’ll cover all pets that currently increase movement speed and explain their traits. Check out How to Get Animals & Pets in Grow a Garden!

1. Grey Mouse

  • Tier: Legendary
  • Obtaining Method: Mythical Egg (35.71% hatch chance)
  • Hunger: 15,000
  • Date Added: May 17th, 2025
  • Obtainable: Yes

Passive (Whisker Wisdom): Gains ~500 bonus XP every 10 minutes and increases the player’s movement speed by 10% (bonus increases slightly as the pet ages).

The Grey Mouse was introduced in the Blood Moon Event Update. It has gray fur, pink inner ears, and black facial features. While the bonus XP only applies to itself, the 10% movement speed boost makes it a reliable pet for anyone who wants faster gameplay.

2. Raptor

  • Tier: Legendary
  • Obtaining Method: Dinosaur Egg (35% hatch chance) or DNA Converter (chance unknown)
  • Hunger: 40,000
  • Date Added: July 5th, 2025
  • Obtainable: No (event-limited)

Passive:

  • Clever Claws: 2%–2.5% chance for fruit to get Amber mutation after collecting.
  • Raptor Dance: Increases player movement speed by 14%–14.5% (scales slightly with level).

The Raptor was part of the Prehistoric Event and is no longer obtainable. It resembles a green Velociraptor with a long tail, and its Raptor Dance ability makes it one of the strongest pets for speed boosts.

If you’re looking to move faster in Grow a Garden, the Grey Mouse is currently the only obtainable pet that boosts movement speed, while the Raptor remains a rare event-exclusive pet with a stronger buff. Whether you’re farming resources or exploring your garden, having one of these pets by your side will definitely make things quicker and smoother.
