Following the huge popularity of the Mega Hunt Event, Roblox is back with another massive limited-time experience: The Takeover, launching on September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM PT. Unlike past events, The Takeover is centered around teamwork, where players form crews and take on quests across multiple Roblox experiences to unlock rewards. If you’re planning to jump in, here’s everything you need to know about creating crews, joining others, earning event currencies, and navigating portals.
How to Create a Crew in Roblox The Takeover
To start your own crew:
- Enter the Roblox The Takeover experience.
- Head to the Crew HQ, located at the center (a white square area).
- Press the Create button to open the customization menu.
- Pick a name, description, and logo for your crew. You can adjust colors for the logo, background, and frame.
- Once you’re happy with the setup, hit Confirm to finalize your crew.
This makes you the crew leader, giving you full control over customization and member management.
How to Join a Crew in Roblox The Takeover
If you’d rather join an existing group:
- Make sure you and your friends are on the same server.
- Press Escape, then use the Invite Connections option to invite friends.
- Open the Crew icon on the left side of the screen.
- Under Invites, select your friend’s name and accept the invitation.
Crew leaders can also promote trusted members to Admin, who can help invite and manage players.
Solo Creds vs. Crew Creds
During the event, you’ll see two different currencies displayed at the top of your screen:
- Solo Creds – Earned by completing quests individually.
- Crew Creds – Earned when your whole crew works together.
Both will play a role in unlocking event rewards, so whether you’re a lone wolf or a team player, you’ll be able to progress.
What Are Portals in The Takeover?
The Takeover introduces four portals that transport you to different participating Roblox experiences. Each portal connects to a set of games where quests can be completed.
