This tier list ranks the current Spirits and Awakenings from S Tier (the strongest) to C Tier (the weakest), with reasoning for each placement based on how they perform across different game modes. Also check out our Rackets Rivals Tier List for those that are new to the game.

BEST Spirits & Awakenings Racket Rivals

C Tier (Needs Buffs)

These picks struggle in the current meta and are rarely worth using unless no other options are available.

  • Aimbot (4★ Awakening) Sounds great on paper—automatically sends the ball to the “best” spot. But in reality, it’s too predictable. Opponents can easily block or dash to cover the ball. Currently the weakest awakening.
  • Gojin (3★ Spirit) Lets you turn invisible and move faster. In 1v1, it can trick opponents, but in team modes, it’s nothing more than a speed boost. Easily countered by Freeze or good dashing.

B Tier (Situational Picks)

Can work in the right hands, but not consistently powerful.

  • Senu (Spirit) Deploys a defensive zone that sets or repels the ball. It used to be stronger before nerfs, but now it’s more situational. Still solid when placed near the net for defensive setups.
  • Kyokei (4★ Spirit) Drops a smoke orb to blind enemies. It has its moments in 1v1, but in team games, it’s too inconsistent and easily countered.
  • Curve Shot (4★ Awakening) Curves the ball to catch opponents off guard. Great in 1v1, but predictable in team matches where someone is always ready to cover.

A Tier (Strong but Not Broken)

Useful in most situations and reliable in both casual and competitive games.

  • Ground Slam (3★ Awakening) Slows down enemies with a rock slam. Excellent in 1v1 where space is limited, but in team modes, it requires good timing to get maximum value.
  • Hinari – Overheat (4★ Spirit) Sets the ball on fire, forcing opponents to set before hitting. Brutal in 1v1s, but in team games, coordination reduces its impact. Still one of the most dangerous abilities in casual matches.
  • Go – Time Control (5★ Spirit) Slows down time briefly, giving you space to position or prepare a counter. Not overpowered, but consistently useful across all modes.
  • Wall Portals (5★ Awakening) Lets you redirect the ball using wall angles. It takes practice, but in skilled hands, it becomes a powerful offensive tool.

S Tier (Meta-Defining Picks)

These are the best abilities in the game right now. If you have them, use them.

  • Gou – Freeze (Spirit) Completely stops the ball midair. Perfect for clutch saves or offensive plays. With good timing, it feels unstoppable and is easily the strongest Spirit available.
  • Captain Salute (3★ Awakening)
Boosts your entire team’s speed. In team modes, this is insane value—everyone can reach blocks and counter faster. One of the most broken abilities in 2v2 and 3v3.
  • Jin – Astral Set (5★ Spirit) Pulls the ball directly to you and sets it up. Works like Freeze defensively but also enables offense by controlling rallies. Best with coordinated teammates, but still very powerful overall.

The current meta in Racket Rivals clearly favors Spirits and Awakenings that provide team-wide utility or disruptive control, such as Freeze, Captain Salute, and Astral Set. While some abilities like Aimbot or Gojin need buffs to be relevant, others shine when used at the right time, especially in organized squad play. As the game evolves with future patches, the rankings will likely shift, but for now, these are the best options to dominate the court.
