The Anime Vanguards 8.5 Update has arrived, bringing a huge batch of new content, rewards, and gameplay features. From new units to fresh events and dungeon challenges, this update packs a lot for both new and returning players. Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about version 8.5.
What’s New in Update 8.5
1. New Units
This update introduces four powerful new units, each available through different methods:
- Vanguard Quest: Brolzi Super (Awakened & Wrathful)
- Special Banner: Lord Friezo (Normal & Emperor variants)
- Dungeon Drop: Rogita (Normal & Fused)
- Worldlines Floor 50: Wolf (Resurrection)
Each unit has both Normal and Shiny variants, giving collectors even more to chase.
2. New Dungeon – Frozen Volcano
The brand-new Frozen Volcano Dungeon is one of the biggest highlights of this update. Here’s what to expect:
- Face off against Brolzi, Roku, and Vogita in intense battles.
- Collect Dragon Tokens and rare items.
- Chance to unlock Rogita if Friezo is equipped.
- Modifier Cards system for strategic gameplay choices every 5 waves.
- New rewards in the Dungeon Shop including the Chili Familiar, trait rerolls, and powerful evolution items.
3. New Events
Update 8.5 launches with four new events and multiple returning ones:
- Nornesh, Please! – Collect Dragon Spheres to summon Nornesh.
- Elemental Confluence – Element-based trials with high rewards.
- Innocent Trials – Try out new units for bonus rewards.
- Innocent Anger – Focused on evolving Wrathful Brolzi.
Alongside these, long-term and limited-time events like The Strongest, The King’s Return, Recurring Decadence, Odyssey Outrage, and others make their comeback with new prizes.
4. Worldlines Season 7
Season progress has been reset. Monkey King is now unobtainable, replaced by Wolf (Resurrection) as the new Floor 50 reward. Players can also reclaim trait rerolls and other floor rewards.
5. Rewards for New & Returning Players
- New players get a Login Reward Calendar with over 220 Trait Rerolls, Ackers unit, and all his evolution materials.
- Returning players who’ve been away for 3+ weeks can log in daily for a week to claim strong rewards, including rerolls and resources.
6. Quality of Life Improvements
- Customizable currency display with up to 5 currencies.
- Teleport and loading screens updated.
- eDPS counter replaces the old DIR system.
- Sandbox improvements, quest tracking, improved UI, and more than 30+ QoL changes and 45+ bug fixes.
Anime Vanguards UPD 8.5 New Codes!
Three new codes were added with this update. Redeem them in-game for gems, rerolls, and stat chips:
- LateUpdate: 100 Rerolls (NEW)
- AngryMan: 20 Rerolls (NEW)
- InnocentAnger: 5000 Gems, 20 Stat Chips, and 5 Phoenix Shards (NEW)
