Fishing is at the core of Fish It, and the rod you use makes all the difference between catching common fish and reeling in rare, heavy, and mutated ones. While there are many rods in the game, not all are worth your money or grinding time. This Fish It rods tier list ranks every obtainable rod (excluding Game Pass rods) while also covering the best baits and enchants to use with them. Check out our Fish it Codes for more rewards!

Enchant Fish It Guide – Tier List and More!

The tier list ranks enchants from S (best) to C (least useful). S-Tier enchants are extremely powerful and should be prioritized whenever you can get them. A and B-Tier enchants are strong but more situational, while C-Tier ones have limited impact compared to the rest.

Fish It Enchant Tier List

S-Tier (Best Enchants)

  • Prismatic I – Rainbow Boost activates with 10 fewer throws, making progression much faster.
  • Leprechaun II – +50% Luck, one of the most powerful luck boosts available.
  • Cursed I – -75% Luck but +75% Mutation Chance. Risky, but extremely strong for mutation farming.
  • Empowered I – +20% Luck and +10% Speed, a great balanced enchant.

A-Tier (Strong Choices)

  • Mutation Hunter II – +30% Mutation Chance, great for farming rare mutations.
  • Big Hunter I – +10% Fish Size, useful for leaderboard chasers.
  • Gold Digger I – +10% Gold Mutation Chance, boosts rare and valuable catches.
  • Leprechaun I – +30% Luck, still very good early on.

B-Tier (Situational Enchants)

  • Stargazer I – +60% Luck at Night, strong but only during certain times.
  • Glistening I – +10% Shiny Mutation Chance, useful for shiny hunters.
  • Stormhunter I – +80% Luck during Rain, very situational.
  • Mutation Hunter I – +10% Mutation Chance, weaker than the Tier II version but still decent.

C-Tier (Lower Priority)

  • Reeler I – +7% Speed, minor bonus compared to others.
  • XPerienced I – +50% XP from catches, not as impactful once you level up past early game.

Double Enchant Tier List

S-Tier: Best Overall Double Enchants

  1. Leprechaun II + Empowered Gives a total of +70% luck and +10% drag speed. This combo is one of the most efficient setups for farming rare fish consistently.

  2. Leprechaun II + Perfection +50% luck and perfect throws. Great for players who value precision and consistent results.

  3. Mutation Hunter II + Empowered +30% mutation, +20% luck, and +10% drag speed. A well-balanced setup for mutation farming.

  4. Big Hunter + Prismatic +10% larger fish, rainbow effect (40→30), and +3800% luck. Perfect for those chasing big, rare fish.

  5. Mutation Hunter II + Leprechaun II +30% mutation and +50% luck — one of the best hybrid options for rare mutated fish.

A-Tier: Strong but Situational

  1. Empowered + Perfection +20% luck, +10% drag speed, and perfect throws. Great for faster fishing with good luck balance.

  2. Big Hunter + Leprechaun II +10% larger fish and +50% luck. Excellent for size-focused builds that still benefit from high luck.

  3. Xperienced + Leprechaun II 1.5x XP and +50% luck. Perfect for players focusing on leveling while maintaining rare drop chances.

  4. Mutation Hunter II + Reeler +30% mutation and +7% drag fish speed. A solid pick for faster mutant fish farming sessions.

B-Tier: Utility & Niche Picks

  1. Xperienced + Reeler 1.5x XP and +7% drag speed. Good for leveling but offers little value for rare catches.

  2. Reeler + Perfection +7% drag fish speed and perfect throws. Great for speed and precision-based playstyles.

  3. Cursed + Big Hunter +75% mutation, -75% luck, and +10% larger fish. High-risk, high-reward combo that’s not consistent.

  4. Cursed + Perfection +75% mutation, -75% luck, and perfect throws. Best used for specific mutation-focused setups only.

C-Tier: Not Recommended

  1. Cursed + Prismatic Boosts mutation by +75% but cuts -75% luck, making it extremely inconsistent and inefficient overall.

  2. Xperienced + Big Hunter +1.5x XP and +10% larger fish. Decent for casual play, but falls short compared to high-luck or mutation builds.

The Ghostfinn and Angler rods dominate the tier list, but you don’t need to rush for them immediately. Astral Rod and Chrome Rod provide great stepping stones for mid-game players, while free rods like Lava Rod can carry you through the early grind. Pairing your rod with the right bait and enchant is just as important as the rod itself, especially if you’re hunting shiny or mutated fish.
