In Anime Vanguards, Corruption is one of the most powerful systems tied to your familiars. It allows you to push their stats beyond normal limits, giving massive boosts in battles. What Is Corruption?

Corruption is a special upgrade you can apply to your familiars. Once corrupted, a familiar gains unique boosts that make them much stronger than usual. The catch is that these effects can be both positive and negative depending on what you roll.

To corrupt a familiar, you’ll need Corruption Crystals, which can be obtained from the Odyssey realm. You can access the Corruption menu either in the Upgrades area or directly through the Familiar section in your inventory.

Corruption Levels

Corruption is divided into four tiers: Corruption I to Corruption IV. When you apply corruption, your familiar will receive one effect from these tiers. It’s important to note:

• You can only corrupt a familiar once.
• After corruption, you cannot corrupt the same familiar again.
• Reversing will only reset the stats but will not remove the corruption itself.

For some effects, especially in Corruption 3, “lower” often means better. For example, Padoru’s gift box timer activates more often when the cooldown is rolled at a lower number.

Risks of Corruption

While corruption boosts power, there are risks:

• Stats may roll lower than expected.
• Some boosts may not be as useful depending on your familiar.
• Once applied, you can’t undo the corruption completely, so choose wisely.

So, Save your Corruption Crystals for strong familiars that you plan to use long-term. Don’t waste corruption on event familiars you rarely equip. Remember that corrupted familiars cannot be rerolled with shards, so reroll first, then corrupt. Corruption is a high-risk, high-reward system that can turn a good familiar into a game-changer. Use it wisely, and your team in Anime Vanguards will become much stronger.
