How to Get Vinefang Rod Fisch Lost Jungle Update Guide!
The Lost Jungle update in Fisch has added a new questline where players can earn the Vinefang Rod, a limited-time fishing rod tied to the Lost Bones event. If you’re wondering how to unlock it before the update timer runs out, here’s a full step-by-step guide to help you.
Starting the Quest

First, make your way to the new island called Jungle’s Echo. Here, you’ll find an NPC known as the Jungle Adventurer. Talking to this NPC starts the Lost Bones quest. Your task is simple but time-consuming: collect five Mossjaw bones spread across different islands. Each bone can only be obtained by fishing at specific spots.
Vinefang Rod Requirements

To claim the Vinefang Rod, you must gather the following:
- Mossjaw Scapula – Found in Mush Grove, near the lily pad with a carrot on it. Fish in this area until you catch it.
- Mossjaw Spine – Located in Sunstone, on the small island with a palm tree behind the shipwright. Catch rate is very low (-85% progress speed), making this the hardest bone.
- Mossjaw Tail – Go to Rosid, near the volcano entrance. Fish underneath the bridge with NPC Cam standing on it.
- Mossjaw Skull – Found in Forsaken Shores, at the goldfish pond with a waterfall. Fish directly inside the pond.
- Mossjaw Jaw – At Moosewood, fish in the central pond with ducks to get the final piece.
Check out the Location Coordinates for Fisch Mossjaw, sadly for the Scapula we didn’t have it yet!
Claiming the Vinefang Rod
Once you have all five bones, return to Jungle’s Echo and speak to the Jungle Adventurer again. You’ll hand in the bones and unlock your rewards:
- Stag Beetles (currency)
- Vinefang Rod (limited-time)
Vinefang Rod Stats
Here’s what you get with this special rod:
- 80% lure speed
- 117% luck
- -0.11 control
- -16% resilience
- 25,000 max kg
While it’s not the strongest rod in Fisch, the Vinefang Rod is unique because it’s exclusive to this event. Collectors and new players especially won’t want to miss it.
Time Limit Warning
The quest is only available until the update timer ends (about six days). After that, the Vinefang Rod will no longer be obtainable, so make sure to complete the Lost Bones quest before the timer runs out.
The Vinefang Rod might not change the meta for endgame players, but it’s a great addition for anyone looking to expand their collection or get a solid mid-tier rod. The grind is straightforward once you know where to fish, but be prepared to spend some time on the Mossjaw Spine since its drop chance is the lowest.
If you’re planning to stay ahead in Fisch, don’t skip this quest. The next major update promises new features like spear fishing and the Lost Jungle expansion, so securing the Vinefang Rod now will set you up well for what’s coming next.
