Meta Tier – Best of the Best
These units are the strongest in the game right now, offering high DPS, strong utility, or powerful tanking. They’re either plug-and-play or require minimal setup:
- Crimson Owl – Currently the best unit in the game. She deals massive damage and is the top boss killer.
- Ichigo (True) – A top-tier DPS, incredibly consistent and strong from placement.
- Soul King – Highest placement damage, making him deadly in early waves.
- Chains of Devil – Extremely fast and perfect for short matches. Easily a top 3 unit overall.
- Pink Sniper – Amazing DPS and very easy to obtain at Battle Pass level 25. One of the best free units.
- Pride (Sun) – The tank king. High HP and strong damage from the start.
- Cursed Love, Blood Queen, Flame Captain, Eisen, Etto, and Valyria round out the top picks thanks to their strong passives, utility, or fast scaling.
Sub-Meta – Still Very Good, But Not Broken
These units are powerful and useful in many setups, but they have slight drawbacks or better alternatives exist:
- Thunder Goddess, Blood Scythe, and The Almighty offer solid AoE and bleed support but don’t top the damage charts.
- Himo – A pure tank that triples her HP with no damage. Good for soaking hits but not a carry.
- Blood Devil – Bleeds enemies but needs upgrades before becoming useful.
- Shadowborne, Lord Slime, Last Survivor – Can be good, but are overshadowed by better-performing meta picks.
A Tier – Great Starters and Reliable Picks
Units in this tier are strong but usually outclassed in high-end play:
- Silver Reaper (OWL) – Great stats, especially for early clears.
- Solar Fist, Feral Fang, Knight King (Clone) – Decent damage and ease of use.
B Tier – Usable but Outclassed
Only one unit here:
- Black Mask – Extremely low placement damage and little overall value.
C Tier – Weak or Outdated
These units don’t bring enough to justify using them unless you’re experimenting:
- Shadow Knight, Eclipse Sorcerer, Black Reaper – Low damage or slow ramp-up time make them bad picks for short modes.
Support Tier – Utility Focused
Support units don’t do big damage but help the team in other ways:
- Ice General – Freezes enemies. Good for crowd control.
- Shin (Reverse), Gravity Priest, Ura (Kai) – Decent support skills but not enough impact to carry games.
- Yuno, Umbrella Fang – Average at best.
- Vorpal Magician – Only good for shielding, nothing else.
If you’re looking to dominate in Anime Rangers after the Chainsaw Man update, build your team around Crimson Owl, Chains of Devil, and Pink Sniper. These units offer top-tier performance without needing a full upgrade or setup time.
While some new characters look flashy, they may not hold up in fast game modes or high-difficulty runs. Focus on fast damage dealers, quick placement power, and efficient synergy. This tier list should give you a strong base to pick the right team—now go out there and test them yourself.
Anime Rangers X Traits Tier List

How to Use the Tier List Effectively
- Focus on S and A-Tier Units: These are your main attackers and defenders. If you summon them, prioritize leveling them up.
- Balance Your Team: Try to include a mix of high DPS, AoE, and support-type units.
- Upgrade Wisely: Don’t waste resources upgrading C-Tier characters unless you have no other options.
- Adapt to Game Modes: Some units may perform better in PvP, raids, or specific challenges. Use the tier list as a base and adapt as needed.
What is Anime Rangers X?
Anime Rangers X is a multiverse-themed tower defense experience where characters from popular anime franchises take center stage. Players collect units of different rarities – Legendary, Epic, Rare, and Common – and use them to form powerful teams. Each character comes with unique stats like damage, cooldown time, and attack speed.
Your mission is to defend your tower while also launching attacks to take down enemy structures. Progressing through the game requires not only upgrading your characters but also placing them smartly in battle and choosing the right team composition. That’s where our tier list comes in.
Choosing the right characters in Anime Rangers X is crucial for surviving intense enemy waves and dominating tower battles. With this tier list, you now have a better idea of which units are worth summoning and upgrading. Keep experimenting with your lineup, and don’t forget to check back for updates as the meta changes.
