Basketball Zero Referee Style Update Guide, New Codes & More!
Basketball Zero has just dropped one of its most exciting updates yet, introducing the Referee Style along with new bundles, a fresh map, and a complete rebalance of multiple characters. This update doesn’t just add flair — it brings in gameplay mechanics that shake up both offense and defense, giving players new ways to dominate the court. If you’re ready to learn everything about the Referee Style, bundles, map, and rebalancing changes, this guide will walk you through it all.
Referee Style Moves & Abilities
The new Referee Style is all about control — both over the ball and the game itself. Here’s what it brings to the court:
- BENCH: Forces an opponent to sit out for 2 seconds if they’re too close, letting you break free with a clean dribble dash.
- RULEBOOK DUNK: Summon a glowing rulebook near the hoop, launch off it, and throw down a flashy dunk with a whistle blast.
- FOUL: Automatically bricks any shot taken in your zone. No matter how accurate your opponent is, the whistle ensures they miss.
Awakening Skills
- You Ladies Alright? – A cutscene kicks in where the Ref arrives in his cart, poses, and steals the ball with style.
- 3 STEP SHOT – Take three exaggerated steps across the court while blowing the whistle, then sink either a 2 or 3, mocking a travel call but still scoring.
Referee Zone Buffs
The Referee Style also comes with unique passive abilities:
- Technical Call – 25% chance to disable an opponent’s ability for 5 seconds.
- Cooldown – Reduced cooldowns and faster defense speed.
- Advantage Rule – Boosts off-ball speed when teammates are defending.
- Fair Play – If your ankles get broken, the dribbler’s speed slows temporarily.
New Bundles
A limited-time Referee Bundle and Cosmetic Bundle are now available, featuring:
- Rulebook Score Effect
- Referee Cape
- Referee Hat
- Referee Cart Emote
- Exclusive “You Ladies Alright…?” emote (gift bonus)
New Map: Gymnasium

- Perfection – Blink Awakening replaced with a new move.
- Flash – Dash no longer uses stamina; new Awakening ability added.
