Lost Jungle added some of the most wanted rods in FISCH. If you want to collect the new gear fast, this guide walks you through how to obtain each of the four rods step-by-step: Vineweaver, Toxic Spire, Elder Mossripper, and Wind Elemental. I’ll keep the steps simple, list required materials, and give quick tips so you don’t waste time appraising or running around the map. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!
1) Wind Elemental Rod — farmable via NPC quest
How to start
- Go to Northern Expedition and reach the Crystal Puzzle area behind Glacial Grotto. (Reference spot: near the crystal puzzle ladder area you use to unlock Heaven’s Rod.)
- Climb the ladders behind the crystals to the small top platform and talk to the Wind Master NPC to start the quest.
Quest requirements (summary)
- Shiny Giant Bait Crate (≥12.8 kg): catch from the ocean, then appraise at the Treasure Appraiser on Treasure Island.
- Shiny Sparkling King’s Blessing Pufferfish: fish using a Poseidon Rod at the high-spawn coordinates (example spot used by players) with a Shiny Totem; if Totem fails, try Blessed enchantment instead.
- Shiny Blessed Whale Shark: catch during the Whale Shark event using a Seraphic Rod with Blessed enchant or using a Shiny Totem when the event spawns.
Turn in all items to the Wind Master. He rewards the Wind Elemental Rod.
Tips:
- Bring an oxygen tank and warm clothes (or Glimmerfin Suit Lv.2) if the area is cold.
- Watch for the Whale Shark event timers and have a Shiny Totem/enchants ready.
Notable stats & effect (player-reported)
- Lure Speed: 555%
- Luck: 555%
- Control: 0.055
- Resilience: 55%
- Max Kg: infinite
- Passive: chance to apply Heavenly mutation (greatly increases sale value)
2) Vineweaver Rod — crafted (temple resources + appraises)
Materials needed
- Vined Driftwood (appraised/mutated driftwood)
- Vine Line (from Forgotten Temple—vine puzzle drop)
- Vin Moth Pearl (rare; can be from appraising or event drops)
Where to get the pieces
- Enter the Forgotten Temple in Lost Jungle. Complete the vine puzzle room to get Vine Rune / Vine Line.
- Use the Appraiser and Mutation Totems to appraise driftwood until you get Vined (this is RNG).
- Vin Moth Pearl is rarer—players have reported getting it through appraising or specific spawns.
Crafting
- Go to the Ancient Isles craft bench / archives and combine the recipe: Vined Driftwood + Vine Line + Vin Moth Pearl → Vineweaver Rod.
What it does / stats (player-reported)
- Lure Speed: ~80%
- Luck: ~117%
- Control: ~0.1
- Resilience: ~40%
- Max Kg: infinite
- Passive: 30% chance during the last 30% progress to bind/halt prey (better chance to secure big catches)
Tips
- Save mutation totems for driftwood appraising bursts.
- If you see “sparkling” appraises, those still often work for crafting—don’t scrap them immediately.
3) Toxic Spire Rod — crafted (toxic materials from Lost Jungle)
Materials needed
- Poison Driftwood (appraised/mutated)
- Toxic Core (from temple puzzles / toxic room reward)
- Murky Thread (obtainable in Lost Jungle rooms / puzzle drops)
Where to get the pieces
- Complete the toxic / obby rooms inside the Forgotten Temple to pick up Toxic Rune / Toxic Core / Murky Thread.
- Use the Appraiser with Mutation Totems for Poison Driftwood—this can take time and RNG.
Crafting
- At the Ancient Isles crafting station combine: Poison Driftwood + Toxic Core + Murky Thread → Toxic Spire Rod.
What it does / stats (player-reported)
- Lure Speed: ~87%
- Luck: ~248
- Control: ~0.3
- Resilience: around -20% (so add resilience enchants)
- Max Kg: infinite
- Passive: chance to toxic strike / paralyze the fish (reported 15%–50% in different cases) and big +progress speed (useful for faster farms)
Tips
- Toxic Spire is great for speed/loot but needs resilience fixes — add Mystical or Herculean enchants.
- If you plan to appraise a lot, run mutation surges/totems in batches to avoid wasting time.
4) Elder Mossripper — endgame craft (hardest / temple boss chain)
Overview
- Elder Mossripper is the most grindy of the four. It’s tied to the temple progression, Mossjaw spawns, and rare appraises (Shrouded mutation / Golden Sea items).
Core requirements (reported by players)
- Elder Mossjaw (or Mossjaw drops) — you must fish Mossjaw in the Mossjaw room.
- Shrouded Golden Sea Pearl (very rare appraise / Shrouded mutation)
- Runes and spear parts gathered from Forgotten Temple rooms (these unlock Mossjaw room and give crafting parts)
- Additional special materials (Ancient Isles crafting recipe pieces)
How to reach Mossjaw & gather parts
- Complete all 5 rune rooms in the Forgotten Temple (pattern, obby, maze, moon puzzle, invisible path).
- Place all five runes at the central pedestals to open the Mossjaw Room.
- Fish the Mossjaw (Gloworm bait preferred) — you can get regular Mossjaw or rare Elder Mossjaw. Appraise or collect what the boss drops.
- Appraise extensively to find Shrouded Golden Sea or other rare pearls used in Elder Mossripper crafting.
Crafting
- When you have the required elder parts, runes and rare pearls, craft at Ancient Isles bench under the Elder Mossripper recipe.
What it does / stats (player-reported)
- Lure Speed: ~90%
- Luck: ~215%
- Control: ~0.2
- Resilience: ~50%
- Max Kg: infinite
- Passives: +45% fish weight (applies at certain mutation rates), a chance to apply Shrouded or Moss mutations (+20% shrouded rate reported, +5% moss), and +30% progression speed — extremely strong for big fish farming
Tips
- Elder Mossripper is heavy RNG. Prioritize appraising runs and save up Mutation Totems and credits.
- Use a high-luck rod while appraising to increase chance of rare appraises.
- Track Mossjaw notifications (sundial / event spawns) so you don’t miss the boss.
