Fisch Guide Lost Jungle How to Complete All 5 Rune Rooms!
The Lost Jungle update in FISCH brought one of the most challenging areas in the game — the Forgotten Temple. Inside this massive underground zone, players must solve five unique rune puzzles to unlock the Mossjaw Room, where rare catches like Mossjaw and Elder Mossjaw can be found.
Each rune room tests different skills, from timing and movement to pattern recognition. If you’re struggling to clear all five, here’s a full walkthrough for every rune room in the Lost Jungle, including exact directions and puzzle solutions.
1. Room 1 – Pattern Puzzle
From the main temple entrance, head left, then right twice until you reach a chamber marked with the number 1 on the wall.
You’ll notice floor tiles shaped like geometric symbols — triangles, squares, and circles. The key to solving this puzzle is to step on them in the correct order. If you step on the wrong tile, the puzzle resets.
Solution Pattern:
Triangle → Square → Square → Triangle → Circle → Triangle → Square → Triangle → Circle
Once completed, a rune symbol will appear, granting your first rune. Players with a glider can also skip across the tiles to reach the end faster.
2. Room 2 – Rising Water Obby
From Room 1, head right twice, go straight, then left twice to find Room 2.
This is a timed obstacle course where water begins to rise once you start moving. You’ll need to jump across platforms and climb walls quickly before the water reaches you.
A simple trick is to stay calm and plan your jumps — don’t rush into corners or you’ll slip. Completing the obby gives you your second rune.
3. Room 3 – Spike Maze
After finishing Room 2, turn left and go down the hallway to reach Room 3, the Spike Maze. Here, the floor is filled with hidden spike traps. One wrong step and you’re sent back to the start.
- Follow this safe path carefully: Right → Left → Right → Left → Left → Right → Left → Right → Left → Right → Left → Right
If done correctly, you’ll safely reach the end and collect your third rune.
4. Room 4 – Moon Phase Puzzle
Return toward the main hallway near Room 2, then continue straight to find Room 4.
In this chamber, you’ll see moon symbols on the wall. The goal is to interact with them in the correct moon phase order, starting from Full Moon and ending with Crescent.
- Solution Sequence: Full Moon → Crescent → Half Moon → Crescent → Full Moon
Once activated, the moon symbols will glow, and you’ll receive your fourth rune.
5. Room 5 – Invisible Path Puzzle
From Room 4, go right and follow the long hallway until you see the doorway to Room 5. This is the toughest puzzle in the temple — an invisible path suspended over a deep pit. Falling means restarting from the beginning.
Look closely above you; the faint outline of the correct path can be seen reflected on the ceiling. Move slowly and use your cursor to guide each step. Alternatively, if you own a Glider or Gravity Coil, you can fly directly to the end platform and skip the puzzle completely. Reaching the final platform rewards you with your fifth and last rune.
What to Do After Collecting All Runes
Once you’ve gathered all five runes, return to the main hall near Room 4. You’ll find a large sealed gate with five pedestals — one for each rune. Place each rune on its matching symbol (Water, Toxic, Wind, etc.). When all are placed correctly, the gate will open, unlocking the Mossjaw Room, where you can fish rare species using Gloworm bait.
Keep a Glider or Gravity Coil to make puzzles faster. Avoid rushing through the spike maze or invisible path — patience saves time. Keep track of your runes; leaving the temple before collecting all may reset progress. Once all runes are complete, you’ll gain access to the most valuable part of the Lost Jungle, making this one of the most rewarding challenges in FISCH.
