The long-awaited new island update for Fish It is facing a slight delay. Originally planned to drop earlier this week, the developer officially announced that the update will now be released on Wednesday, October 8 at 4:00 AM and will run until Thursday, October 9 at 11:00 PM. While it’s disappointing news for players who have been preparing for the big launch, the team assured fans that the wait will be worth it.

Why the Delay Happened

According to the development team, the delay was needed to finalize content for what they call one of the biggest updates ever. This new island is set to be the official successor to the Lost Isle update, promising a major step forward in gameplay and exploration. The extra time will help polish the experience and make sure everything runs smoothly once it goes live.

What’s Coming in the Update

The new island will introduce several exciting additions:

  • New fishing rods with stronger stats and better performance
  • Fresh secrets hidden across the island for players to discover
  • A limited-edition boat available only during this event
  • A free Battle Pass (F2P) that lets players earn exclusive skins and even a full-sized ship

These new features aim to make the update fun for both casual and competitive players, giving everyone more ways to progress without spending money.

Developer’s Thank You Gift

To make up for the delay, the developer announced a community event featuring 6 hours of Super Luck (+5000%) and a Megalodon Hunt active on all servers. This bonus event is their way of thanking players for being patient while they finish the final touches on the update.

The Fish It team promises that the new island will deliver a huge adventure packed with rewards and challenges. So, even though the release is pushed back a bit, there’s plenty to look forward to when it finally arrives this Wednesday.
