Getting strong in Blue Protocol Star Resonance is all about understanding how gear progression works. If you’re wondering where to start, how to farm the right equipment, and how to upgrade efficiently, this guide breaks it all down from beginner dungeons to late-game raid gear.

How to Get Gear in Blue Protocol Star Resonance

Most of your gear will come from dungeons and raids. You can access these from the Resource Facility on the map or by pressing I to open the Party Finder. The game currently features six main dungeons, and you’ll be farming these throughout your journey.

There are two dungeon types:

  • Unstable Dungeon: Drops basic beginner gear; good for starters but not ideal for progression.
  • Main Dungeons: Drop higher-quality gear with specific armor or accessory pieces.

For example:

  • Goblin Dungeon: Drops gauntlet and earring.
  • Tina Dungeon: Drops helmet and necklace.
  • Arena Dungeon: Drops shoes and charm.

You’ll keep revisiting these same dungeons as new gear tiers (Level 40, 60, 80) are introduced through Master 1–5 and Master 6+ difficulties.

Gear Rarity and Attributes

There are two key gear rarities early on:

  • Epic (Purple) Gear: Drops in normal difficulty, capped at 80% perfection.
  • Legendary Gear: Drops in hard mode, capped at 100% perfection, with an extra random purple stat line.

Each gear piece has:

  1. Primary Stat – Always your class’s main attribute (Strength, Agility, etc.).
  2. Secondary Stat – A smaller bonus stat (Crit, Haste, Mastery, etc.).
  3. Advanced Attributes – Four random lines with various bonuses like attack speed or boss damage.
  4. Reforge Line (Yellow) – Can be rerolled infinitely using Reforge Stones to get your desired stat.

How Reforging Works

You can reforge gear at the Gear Enhancement Artisan in town. Using Reforge Stones increases your gear’s perfection level (0–100) and raises the fixed stat values. Each reforging attempt also rerolls the yellow stat line, allowing you to chase the perfect setup. If you dismantle a reforged item, the game refunds all your used Reforge Stones, so you can safely experiment without losing progress.

Raid Gear and Set Effects

At higher levels, Raid Gear becomes your ultimate goal:

  • Rune Gear (Lv. 60) and War Gear (Lv. 80) can be crafted from Alloy Shards earned in 20-man Dragon Raids.
  • Raid Gear doesn’t have random purple lines but instead comes with fixed optimal stats for your class (e.g., Haste + Mastery).
  • It includes 4-piece set bonuses unique to each class.

One great feature is that Raid Gear automatically adjusts to your current class. Change your specialization, and the stats and bonuses adapt to match.

Weapons and Upgrades

Weapons follow a separate upgrade path.

  • Lv. 60 weapons can be upgraded to Lv. 70, Lv. 80, Lv. 90, and Lv. 100 using raid currencies like Gold Pieces and Glitter Seller Cores.
  • Each weapon tier has fixed stats, meaning you don’t have to worry about rerolling them.

Refinement System

Refinement gives permanent character-wide bonuses that aren’t tied to gear. You can refine both attack and defense slots up to Level 20 using Star Forge Crystals and life skill materials from mining and smithing.

Success rates drop as levels increase, but you can use Blessing Materials to boost success chances. Focus on refining evenly to level 10 before prioritizing attack slots for higher levels.

Gems and Socketing

Every gear piece can hold gems, which grant additional stats.

  • Gems come in different types (Emerald, Sapphire, etc.) and tiers (1, 3, 5, 7).
  • You can gamble for higher-tier gems at increasing Luno costs, but remember—gems are consumed permanently when you dismantle the gear.

Unless you’re deep into late-game farming, aim for Level 5 or 6 gems to save resources.

Gear progression in Blue Protocol Star Resonance is designed for steady, rewarding growth. Focus on farming the right dungeons for specific pieces, mastering reforging for optimal stats, and working your way toward raid sets.

Once you understand how each system connects—dungeons, reforging, refinement, and gems—you’ll have a clear path to reaching top-tier performance. More advanced systems like Imagi, Modules, and Talents tie into gear optimization later on, which we’ll cover in a future guide.
