Ultimate Stella Sora Beginner’s Guide, Team Building, Gacha, and Early Tips!

The global launch of Stella Sora has finally arrived, bringing a new anime-style action RPG filled with strategic combat, beautiful visuals, and a dynamic element system. If you’re just starting out, this beginner’s guide covers everything you need to know — from team building and elemental synergy to gacha pulls and early game priorities.

Pre-Registration Rewards

At launch, players receive a generous pre-registration package, including a free 4-star character and several summon tickets. These rewards will help you start strong, especially when building your first elemental team.

Understanding Elements

Stella Sora features six elements:

  • Terra (Earth)
  • Ignis (Fire)
  • Vent (Wind/Nature)
  • Aqua (Water)
  • Lux (Light)
  • Umbra (Dark)

Each element interacts with others in balanced ways. Unlike some RPGs where Light and Dark are dominant, Stella Sora keeps all elements fairly even. Elemental synergy is important, as characters can trigger special effects like Aqua Marks for extra damage when using skills of the same element.

Team Building Basics

Each team in Stella Sora consists of three characters — one Main DPS and two Supports.

  • You can only control one main character in battle.
  • The two support characters assist through support and ultimate skills.
  • Some characters are labeled Vanguard (DPS), Support, or Versatile (can fill both roles).

For beginners, it’s best to focus on mono-element teams (three characters of the same element). This helps trigger elemental effects like Aqua Mark for Water teams or Ignis Mark for Fire teams, increasing total damage output.

Skill Upgrading Tips

Each character has four skills: Basic Attack, Main Skill, Support Skill, and Ultimate Skill.

  • Main DPS: Prioritize upgrading the Basic Attack, Main Skill, and Ultimate Skill.
  • Supports: Focus on Support Skill and Ultimate Skill only. Upgrading offensive skills for supports is unnecessary early on.

Skill materials are limited, so invest wisely in your main characters first.

Gacha & Summoning System

Stella Sora uses a pity system for banners:

  • You are guaranteed a 5-star unit after 120 pulls on the current banner.
  • The 120-pull pity resets each banner, while a separate 160-pull counter carries over between banners.

Two ticket types exist:

  • Cerulean Tickets (Blue): Used for rate-up banners.
  • Sprout Tickets (Green): Used for standard summons.

Save your blue tickets for limited characters and prioritize buying them in the Permit Exchange Shop.

Gifts & Affinity System

Players can build relationships with characters through the Heart Link system, giving up to 10 gifts per day to increase affinity. Higher affinity boosts stats and unlocks Live2D scenes for selected characters. Focus on bonding with your main DPS first, as the stat bonuses can enhance their performance in battle.

Discs (Weapons) Explained

Discs serve as the weapon and enhancement system in Stella Sora.

  • Each disc has a melody skill and an element type.
  • Equip 4-star or 5-star discs that match your team’s element for stronger bonuses.
  • Some discs include special activation abilities, adding unique combat effects.

Level up your main discs first and match their element to your main team for optimal synergy.

Daily Tasks & Growth Rewards

Don’t forget to complete:

  • Daily missions for resources and XP.
  • Growth and level rewards for valuable upgrade materials.
  • Beginner tasks that guide you through the game’s core systems.

These activities provide steady progress and resources without needing heavy grinding.

Stella Sora offers a balanced mix of real-time combat and strategic team planning. Focus on forming a mono-element team, upgrade the right skills, and manage your gacha pulls smartly. With consistent progression, you’ll quickly build a strong roster capable of handling tougher challenges in future updates. As the official launch unfolds, expect more characters, events, and balance changes — but these fundamentals will help you get ahead from day one.
